 | | Mike and I have been together for 5 years. We met at the SFO airport on our way to Hawaii for a marathon. I was the one running. He was there to hang out with his friend Keith. Keith and I went to the same high school and Mike went to college with him. However, I hadn't seen Keith since high school. My friend, Angelica, was Keith's friend. She convinced Keith and I to run the marathon with her. And that's how we met, through good friends.
When we first met, it was not love at first sight. He met us at the finish line with the same clothes he had on from the night before. He did show up with chocolates and beer though:-) As the week went by, Mike always made me laugh. He was so funny. We don't have much in common, but for me it started with his sense of humor.
As the years went by, I fell in love with Mike and all of his characteristics. He's smart, hardworking, trustworthy, respectful, caring and honest. I love how he's so sweet to me. Most of all, I love his commitment to me. No matter how insane I get, he has always stuck by my side. He also loves and respects his mother. You can always tell a lot about a man by the way he treats his mother. She did a wonderful job raising him and instilling his values.
I'm so happy we're finally at this moment. I can't wait to marry him! | | Our wedding will be at Hans Fahden winery in Calistoga, California, on Sunday September 4th at 4 pm.

If you're planning to stay for the weekend in Calistoga, here are some places that I recommend:
On our 1 year anniversary, we went to the Indian Spring Resort. They have a Olympic sized mineral pool and a fabulous spa. Indian Springs 1712 Lincoln Avenue Calistoga, California 94515 www.indianspringscalistoga.com The other spa we really like is the Solage Spa and Resort. Fun place for a girls day out. Solage Calistoga 755 Silverado Trail Calistoga, CA 94515 (866) 942-7442 www.solagecalistoga.com/ When we have out of town guests, we bring them to the Sterling Winery. There's a tram that takes you up to the winery. On the ride up, check out the stunning view of Calistoga. Sterling Winery 1111 Dunaweal Lane Calistoga, CA 94515 (800) 726-6136 www.sterlingvineyards.com/home The other winery we visit is Castello di Amorosa. It's a castle with a medieval theme. I love their wine. Castello di Amorosa 4045 N. St. Helena Highway Calistoga, CA 94515 (707) 967-6272 www.castellodiamorosa.com
Here are some other attractions which we would like to visit one day:
Old Faithful Geyser of California 1299 Tubbs Lane Calistoga, CA 94515-1055 (707) 942-6463 www.oldfaithfulgeyser.com About every 30 minutes, visitors to the Old Faithful Geyser of California are treated to an eruption of steam and scalding water spraying 60 to 100 feet in the air. There are only two other "old faithful" geysers in the world that have earned the title due to their regular eruptions. On the geyser's grounds, there is a gift shop, exhibit hall, snack bar, picnic area. Hot air balloons: (800) 995-7700 (707) 942-5758 (local) http://www.calistogaballoons.com/ The Petrified Forest 4100 Petrified Forest Road Calistoga Ca 94515 707.942.6667 contact@petrifiedforest.org Imagine that you are in a grove of redwoods, some millions of years ago, with strange creatures scurrying around under a dense growth of trees and ferns. Smoke has been sighted coming from the towering volcano to the northeast, and a few earthquakes have rumbled through the forest in the past days, but nothing else is unusual. Suddenly, a puff of smoke arises from the side of the volcano, growing larger and larger in seconds and towering upward, shooting streamers of ash and bombs of lava outward. Safari West 3115 Porter Creek Road Santa Rosa, CA 95404 (707) 579-2551 www.safariwest.com Picture yourself among some of the world’s most exotic creatures. Come close with giraffes, gazelles, zebras and many of the other 600 animals that inhabit the preserve. Take an exciting three hour, safari drive and explore the wildlife preserve, traveling first in an authentic safari vehicle and then a trek around the inner grounds. It may not be Africa, but it’s close! With animals roaming and running free outside your safari jeep, this safari escape is the closest it comes without requiring a passport. The wildlife park is designed to give the animals the ability to interact and roam about freely, as well as engage our guests in a once in a life time experience — an African luxury safari in the wine country.
| | Hi everyone,
When Mike and I went to register, we had a very hard time finding things we needed. He and I have lived separately on our own for a while now so we pretty much have two of everything. So we decided to splurge on our honeymoon. We're going on a Mediterranean cruise for 10 days through the Greek Isles departing from Rome. We'll also stay for a few days in Rome. We've never been to any of these places before so we're very excited!
