I love how most couples blogs have these cute little stories about how they met: at the airport, at the coffee house, he saved her from a burning building.. well our story doesn’t start out quite like that. We met online, match.com to be exact. It started with a wink that’s all.. I looked at his profile, he winked at me, and well here we are.. I know I know not very original huh. I will tell you that our first date was the longest first date either of us have ever had. Originally it was just sushi that was all get some lunch and head on our way to decide if we want to even see each other again. Not even half way through lunch here we are googling movies deciding if we can catch one and sure enough we had plenty of time. After that the date kept right on going we ended up playing mini golf, getting coffee, walking down river in grand ledge to see the ducks, going on a tour of his house and back to my place for what I am positive was the worst lasagna I have ever made. He ate it anyways and said it was great all the more reason to love him right?

Our relationship has unfolded much like our first date. Everything feels right, works right, and just like lasagna some are better than others. Though I will not say that we fight I will say that we can disagree. What works the most is that he is so patient and calm not just with me but with all of us and I try to weigh all the possible outcomes before reacting which makes even the difficult days wonderful days.

For those of you who don’t know both of us we would like to give you some background. There is a total of 5 people in this relationship and it takes all 5 of us to make it work. In case you were wondering why there are 5 people in our relationship let me tell you more about the other three members. Justin is 15 and very athletic (and accident prone) and has become very attached Chris and looks to him frequently for advice. Madison is 12 (almost 13) she is athletic and outgoing and always is in need of a hug from both of us. Brooklyn is 9 her birthday is the day after the wedding. Brooklyn has had her ups and downs with some of the changes that have been made but will always take time to explain as well as listen.

Sometimes it is hard to explain the way things work or why they work or how we got there. That is what pictures are for right? Please take a look at the photo album I will update it regularly to add new pictures for everyone to see.

Till next time…… thank you all for reading.
