Welcome

I (Liz) had ended a 16 year marriage and a 2 year dating relationship and was feeling doubtful about finding a future mate.  I decided to go on with my life and pursue interests such as running. The first time I met Doug was at the Raleigh Galloway Run Walk Run Information session.  He was so cute I wanted to run into him again.  We started running together weekly and soon after dating.  We progressed to running 5k races and then half marathons before deciding to train for a full marathon.  It was my first marathon so I was nervous.   Doug had already run a full one but had to slow down to run at my pace. We crossed the finish line at the same time when Doug got down on his knee and asked me to run with him for the rest of our lives and marry him.  I got two medals that day.  We set our date for June 16 to coincide with running a half marathon in Hawaii for our honeymoon.

Our wedding will be the continuation of this fairy tale. it is only a matter of time before we become Mr. and Mrs. Lahti and we can't wait to share this dream come true with you.  We found a beautiful Victorian house called the Wagner House for the ceremony and reception.  The  garden will be an enchanting and quaint place for the ceremony while the house will be a warm and inviting place for the reception. The Wagner House is located in Clayton, NC,  just 15 minutes east of downtown Raleigh.

Doug and I would like to thank all of our friends and family for being a part of our lives. We are grateful for your love and friendship. Thank you for visiting our wedding website and honeymoon registry. You have blessed our lives and we can't wait to share our special day with you!
