We technically met in high school where we sat near each other and made fun of our teachers together. After three years of our casual friendship, we parted ways for college. Five years later a twist of fate led us to reconnect on facebook, where Brandon proceeded to ask me to go out with him within one day of our first encounter. The rest is history.

We talked about marriage for a long time, and after living together for 9 months, Brandon proposed. I came home from work on Friday, May 18th. My best friend Robyn was on the phone with me at the time saying she thought Brandon would propose that day. I didn't think anything of it. Brandon then proceeded to tell me he wanted to wait until I came home from my Iowa trip the following week to propose. I agreed and walked into the other room. When I returned, he was on one knee near the door, asking me "So, wanna get married?" I said "Really??? I get to keep it???" [referring to the ring]. Needless to say I did get to keep it and we got engaged. 

The wedding is in Pittsgrove, New Jersey at Running Deer Golf Club. We chose to get married in New Jersey to keep everything near our family and friends.

The ceremony will take place at 8:30 pm and the reception will begin at 9:00 pm.

We chose to honeymoon in San Diego for a few reasons:

1.) Neither Brandon nor I have a passport (not that we would have chosen to go elsewhere anyway). We'll work on that after we're married.

2.) Brandon wants to go to the San Diego Zoo, I want to go to Sea World. We thought we could use the honeymoon to accomplish both.

3.) We've never been to California. So why not?

4.) We need to know if In-N-Out Burger is as good as they say.

Since Brandon and I already live together in Silver Spring, Maryland, we won't be running to buy a house the day after the wedding. But all of you are near and dear to our hearts, and we assure you that we'll keep you posted on our married life. And if not, there's always Facebook.
