When I was growing up I had four passions. The first was world history. I'd spend my time watching, reading or getting my hands on historical information any way that I could (Still do to this day). It really didn't matter what the subjects were I'd absorb it and go on for more! The second, was art. I have always found peace of mind in creating and appreciating art in many forms. Later, I would use my talent and education as an artist and as an Adjunct Professor. Third is world travel. I got the bug real young, while studying history and the world that opened up to me. I hoped one day to see what I was learning about. First time I got to travel outside of North America was with the Navy. I still to this day dream of circumnavigating the globe. Fourth, and by no means last, is education. My profession today allows for me to not only impart information to my students, but also grants that I have to learn to keep up with industry standards, new techniques and software. I find it to be a gratifying and enjoyable career. All of this is who I am and in turn I am happy to have found Michaela. She has accepted my nerdy, artistic nature.
Michaela, I love you so much and I want to thank you for sticking by my side through it all. You are an inspirational, caring, strong woman. Through ups and downs, our relationship has been molded into something strong. It is an honor that I get to spend the rest of my life with you sharing our experiences together.
