We met back in 2001 when we began working together at TCF Bank. For me, it was love at first site, butterflies and all, but for Dan, he was just there to work. We soon became friends and started officially dating in May 2004.
At the end of 2004, Dan bought his first house. He was able to live as a bachelor for about 1 week. I slowly started moving my things in and never left! I also convinced Dan into getting a cat...so now we have a crazy black cat named Mischief.
In October 2013, the day before Halloween, Dan did something I never thought would happen. After 9 1/2 years together, he proposed to me! It was about 10pm and I was just getting ready for bed. Dan had gone down to the garage to throw away some garbage. As I was just about to crawl into bed, I heard a knock on the door from down in the garage. I was pretty annoyed that he "locked" himself out because I was super tired. When I opened the door to let him in, he was down on one knee. He said some cute words and then asked me to marry him. AFter being in shock and laughing, I of course said YES! It was a little late to call people, so we had to wait til the next morning. I was so excited to finally be engaged to Dan that I couldn't sleep!
January 28, 2014 was the happiest, best, most memorable day of our lives. We grew our family with our beautiful baby girl, Brittany Reese. She has big blue eyes, blonde hair, the biggest kissable cheeks and longest lashes. We couldn't have asked for a more amazing child. She sure keeps us busy :)
Dan and I love camping and hiking on the North Shore. That has become one of our favorite things to do each Summer. We watch football every Sunday in the Fall/Winter. Go to many sporting events. Trips to family cabins. Traveling to other states and parts of Minnesota. Dan has taught me how to play golf, and I love it! Hanging out with friends and their families. Spending lots of time with our family, especially nieces and nephews. We enjoy so many other things and are always busy.
We cannot wait to grow our family and go on many more adventures!
