It all started with friends and family encouraging us to sign up for online dating.  It took some time for us to build up the courage to try it.  A few keystrokes later, and a couple of uploaded photos, our profiles were done, and we entered the dating world.  We discovered each other in January, 2013, and our first date was for coffee at Starbucks.  Rob brought a rose, which was just the start of his romantic gestures.  The second was dinner the following weekend, and that lead to many more.

A few months later, we went out for Linnea's first experience on the back of a motorycle.  We now enjoy riding with friends and the local Harley club regularly.  We've had many great experiences and have met some awesome people.

Rob and a couple of friends from Harley group developed a plan for Rob to propose to Linnea at the annual Christmas party.  Rob took the kids (Robert, Sarah and Matthew) to dinner the week before and asked their permission.  Of course, they said "yes."  The kids managed to keep the surprise.

After the Christmas Party dinner, the President asked for people to introduce the new members they had brought in that year.  One couple got up first, and then Rob brought Linnea up to the dance floor.  Linnea was just nervous because she didn't want to have to talk in fron of the group (120 people).  That's when Rob got down on one knee and pulled out a silver box.  Neither one of us really remember all the words, but the important words were:  "Will you marry me?" and "Of course I will."

It was made even more special because the kids had been hidden and brought in for the proposal.  We had a first dance as an engaged couple to "Amazed" by Lonestar.  After that, there was champagne, congralations, hugs and many well wishes.

We just want to celebrate our day with close family and friends.  We will be having the ceremony at the church, and then a reception dinner.  We are so excited to share our day with you.

In January, after the kids have gone back to school, we are planning a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean.  We are looking forward to having some rest and relaxation, and some time just to ourselves.  Don't worry, we'll bring back pictures.
