As our special event approaches, the excitement in the air is electric!

Not many such moments like this occur in today's run-a-way world. But when they do they are magical.

The gathering of friends and family on such an occasion is a wonderful feeling of solidarity. Happy thoughts and feeling of joy abound.

May our day be filled with sunshine and happiness.

To life and love then ...

L'Chaim!

As the season progresses, there is an air of excitement and contentment this year. I think it is the fact that Chadwick & I are officially married in the eyes of our peers and all of society in general.

I never thought of it as much more than a silly ceremony for heterosexuals to validate their ambitions. However, I must say that it does bring with it a true sense of recognition and acceptance.

I never thought much of calling mY partner "husband", but after our nuptials it actually felt and feels good to use the term as part of the whole.

So, there it is. For any and all who live in what we so loosely call "society" these days, validations and acceptance may not be a must, but they certainly are a welcome addition to an already challenging life.

Namaste ...

My Partner Chadwick did not want to be the center of attention at the celebration of our nuptials. Nor did he want for us to formally recite our vows. So instead, I am placing my vows herein for our friends and guests to view at their leisure.

Three and one half years ago you were all loving and supportive when my partner Jack departed. Today you are here to celebrate my commitment to my new partner Chadwick, our commitment to each other, and our promise to be faithful and true to one another and ourselves.

We have found in each other the things that make us happy, the things that bring us joy, things that complete us and make us whole. The things that made us fall in love in the first place.

If I may share a passage from my book "My Phoenix Rising" I believe it sums up my feelings today:

"After almost two years of existing in rather much of a coma, something happened that gave me a much needed slap and woke me up to the tremendous possibilities that where around me.

Life can be a most wonderful adventure and with the right person by your side it can be most extraordinary.

So surprise! I am in love again and his name is Chadwick ..."

On June 14th I celebrate my commitment to my partner Chadwick. I hope that you are all there too!
