 | | How did we become the fabulous couple you all know and love? Well, we met back in high school and had mutual friends, but never really had a chance to get to know each other. Just before my 21st birthday, I ran into Eddie at the bowling alley, a popular hang out for weekend fun. He was with co-workers and I was with a few of my friends. We said "hi" and took a few minutes to catch up. He bought me a drink, since I was so close to being 21. As many of you know, he's never really been one for following the rules:) He asked for my number, and so it began.
After dating for several years, we made the decision to move in together. We rented a house from my parents, who were kind enough to charge us peanuts so we could save money for a home of our own and begin building our lives together. A few years later, we purchased our first home, which is where we are currently living.
Fifteen years after we reconnected and we are still going strong. We've been through a lot of ups and downs, and continue to love and support each other through it all.
Those of you who know us well, know we've always gone about things in a very non-traditional way. That's why we've created this website. Our wedding ceremony will be held in October in Alabama. It will be a very private ceremony with only our parents and the hosts. We wanted to find a way to involve all of our family and friends so we hope you will enjoy following our journey on this site. We will be sure to post pictures of the wedding and honeymoon. | | Our family lives on some beautiful property in Southern Alabama and were generous enough to allow us to take advantage of the breathtaking scenery and use that as a backdrop for our special day. We are hosting a quaint, private ceremony with our family and hosts, choosing a rustic theme as we thought it would be fitting for the location. With that in mind, I will be wearing cowgirl boots with my dress! We will be tying the knot on Saturday, October 5th. A friend from high school, whom both Eddie and I have kept in touch with over the years is an ordained minister and will be performing the ceremony. It means a lot to us to have someone who actually knew us back then and has watched us grow over the years. We are both very honored to have him and his wife there to share in our event.
As many of you know, we do not plan on having children, but we do have 2 dogs that ARE our children. That being said, this is a very small wedding, so of course, we are including our 2 girls, Asia and Mesa. They will be our wedding party, though I'm sure my brother will have his work cut out for him trying to get them to sit still for the ceremony!
We are so excited and only a couple of months away from the big date. Please check back around late October for shots of the event. | | Traditionally, wedding registries help new couples start their life together by giving them things to build their new home. Fortunately for us, we already have all the possessions we could possibly need and more. We have been abundantly blessed over the years with items passed down by family as well as things we have worked hard to purchase ourselves. Together, we have come to realize that we aim to enrich experiences, not amass more things. Following our non-traditional ways, we decided a traditional gift registry just wasn't for us.
In comes Honeymoon Wishes. Our dream is to begin our married life together at a place we are both passionate about - the beach. Typically, when we travel to the beach, we do it 'budget style'. Honeymoon Wishes is a simple way to help us kick this thing off right and experience the beach in a once in a lifetime kind of way. It's easier than buying a gravy boat from Bed Bath and Beyond! With the click of a button, you can buy a romantic dinner, send strawberries and champagne to our room, pitch in for a jet ski excursion, or one of the many other adventures we hope to take on our big trip. If you would like to contribute to our dream, please visit:

Though we wish each and every one of you could be there with us on our special day, we hope you continue to follow us on our wedding journey through this site and check back for pictures and updates. Much love to you all and a heartfelt thank you for helping us build new memories we will cherish always.
XOXO,
Natasha and Eddie |
