Welcome

We would like to thank all of our dearest family and friends for simply being here for us. You all have done so much and have made such a remarkable positive difference in our lives. We cherish the friendship and love you have given us, and continue to give to us.

The wedding day was wonderful thanks to our friends Samantha Zelent and Kebra and Amy Horth.  They have known Vanessa for most of her life and Heather feels so lucky to now call them her friends.

Samantha officiated the wedding.  The girls surprised us with a beautiful setting in Samantha's backyard.  We chose to marry as ourselves, Vanessa in flip-flops and Heather in Converse.  We both carried bouquets of orange flowers, Heather's favorite color.  The walkway was lined with candles to where we stood to take our vows.  Samantha's words were wonderful and then we read our own vows.  Heather giggled when she saw Vanessa pull out a full typed page, but she knew that she would.  Heather, of course, cried while Vanessa read her vows.  Once it was Heather's turn to say her vows she completely forgot what she had rehearsed, so out she pulled her notes.  As soon as she was done, Vanessa leaned in for an early kiss.  Samantha didn't let that phase her and continued to pronounce us wives.

The patio was done up in orange and candles.  We toasted the wedding - non-alcoholic sparkling grape juice for Heather (they didn't miss a thing.)  The girls had Julie make us a delicious wedding cake and not a crumb was left.  We both agree that it could not have been a more perfect day.

The recption will be held on October 13, 2012 at our home.  Please join us and celebrate our new lives!

We both have an Italian-American heritage, so we have chosen to spend a couple of weeks touring Italy.  We want to go from Venice all the way down to the Amalfi coast.  Heather is excited to stop along the way and introduce Vanessa to her family there as well.
