It's not like we hadn't heard about each other long before we met - between Lisa's Grandma Mowrer and David's Aunt Lois, all we heard was "Have you met Lois' nephew yet?" "Have you met Gypsie's granddaughter yet?" Eventually our work together at The Field Museum led to drinks and swing dancing after the annual holiday party with a group of friends. The more we got to know each other, the more we liked what we saw and after (was it really only) seven years, Lisa put a wrench in David's plans to ask for her hand in marriage on the anniversary of their first date and made him wait another few days before the timing was right. On December 14, 2006, Lisa (and Lindy) answered a unanimous "yes!" when David popped the question and agreed that this would not be a long engagement. It's time!

Our marriage will be blessed at the First Congregational United Church of Christ at the intersection of Church Street and Kenilworth in Elmhurst. Date: Sunday, September 2, 2007. Time: 3:00 p.m.

Cocktails, dining and dancing - lots of dancing! - at 5:30 p.m. at the Oak Meadows Golf Club. Can't wait to celebrate with everyone!

We are so happy that we're able to share this special day with so many of our dear friends and family and thank everyone for the love they have so freely shared. We will take each of you with us in our hearts as we honeymoon at the Grand Prix in Italy, on the canals of Venice, and in the hill towns, forests, and coastline of Croatia.
