**He says: I first met Natalie at a party with mutual friends in Moraga. There was no instant connection. We left the party as friends. Then I didn’t see her for more than a month (unbeknownst to me she went on a trip cross-country with her grandma, Ironically she made a stop in Wisconsin). Anyway, we she got back I met her at a bar, again with friends, and started to look at her as a potential girlfriend. That night I asked her for her digits, which she gladly gave me. We talked a couple times on the phone. Then, when my mom and her friends were here, we met up again at Joe’s of Lafayette. After my mom went to hotel at 8:30, Natalie and I danced several times. My mom’s friends Jeanette and Jean told Natalie what a great guy I was, so I didn’t have to brag about myself later. That night was our first kiss. Later I learned that was the night Natalie fell in love with me. We went on a group trip to Napa and had a blast. Then we went on our first official date together at Bing Crosby’s and talked the whole night until closing. Natalie resisted being my girlfriend this whole time, She kept saying,”you’re too nice, you’re too nice.” After several month of dating, I met her at a bar for drink. I asked if she would be my girlfriend and she said “I don’t know.” I said “It’s just a word.” She finally agreed. We’ve been a couple ever since. We went on trips to Disneyland, Hawaii (for Valentine’s Day), and the Dominican together. We got engaged on February 13th 2007.
**She says: My story begins when I was not looking for a husband!! I was a little over a year away from completing my doctorate and focused on my future career and then…BAM! Here comes Peter into my life! He was amazing, generous, caring, fun, and romantic. I tried real hard to fight him off telling him I didn’t want a boyfriend, commitment and yes, I told him he was too nice for me. But all failed because Peter truly swept me off my feet. After 3 months of dating we spent Valentines Day in Hawaii and I told Peter I thought he was the one and he agreed J We talked about marriage and I told him it would be too cheesy if he proposed on Valentines day…so he proposed the day before and shocked me completely. I came home and there were rose petals everywhere and flowers, balloons, champagne and of course a ring. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and I said “Well sure I will”. I can’t believe that was my response! Lets all hope I get it right when it’s time to say “I do
