Jayne Grace & Troy Nelson
Location: Wilson Vineyard, Clarksburg
In August 2004, Theresa and I spent a summer day at the Ca State Fair with the kids. It was a hot Sacramento summer day and a cold drink was just what we needed. After spending a few mins at the Alhambra Water stand, I decided to order water service for the house (something I always wanted to do..) So I filled out the form and scheduled an appt.

The following week I realized I would not be able to keep the appointment. Our delivery driver at work was scheduled to be there that day and I decided to ask him for the number to call to reschedule the appointment (enter Troy :-) ). We talked for a min and I explained my problem. He asked where I lived and when I told him he said he could come by and set me up as it was close to the branch and he would cancel the appointment I had made. He arrived to set me up and upon completion asked me for a glass. He filled the glass and handed it to me..talk about customer service (and what a GENTLEMAN!) ! As we stood in the kitchen I took a drink and glanced over at Riley. She was staring up at this man in blue and I had to laugh at the look on her face. As I laughed...still with water in my mouth...well, you can imagine. So, after spitting water out with the laughter I'm sure he thought I was quite a catch! We talked for about 40 minutes that day. He explained to me that "we" did not live far. "We" I thought....what does that mean? No ring, no mention of "My wife and I", just "we". So I thanked him and we said good-bye, with Riley still staring up at him.

Over the next 6 months we chatted during his delivery. I (somehow) was usually in or near the breakroom hallway during his deliveries. We casually talked about the weekends and holidays that had passed. I talked about my girls and was sure to casually mentioned my single status. He would say "we had a great time” or “we had a nice relaxing weekend”. Eventually we became him and Reid. It was February and in our talk during that delivery I told him I would not be there the next time he came. I had resigned my job to pursue another career. He said “So, that’s it, I’m not going to see you anymore?" “Well, you never asked for my phone #...” I don’t think I even had the sentence out before he whipped out a note pad and pen from his pocket. I gave him my #. He called a few days later and we set up a date. We went out for the first time on March 3, 2005 and have been happily together ever since.
This is a very special time for us. Troy and I are blessed to be surrounded by our incredible family and friends. You all have been supportive of our relationship and we are tremendously thankful for that. We are very excited for the upcoming wedding and thank you for being a part of our special day!
