Honeymoon Wishes
Marianne Campos & William Peccia
Location: Oceanside CA
Bill and I met thru Pen Pals on AOL. We wrote each other for many weeks before we decided we wanted to meet in person. Our first date was on August 16, 2002 at Cocina Del Charro in Escondido, CA. We had dinner and we talked, boy did we talk. We finished our dinner and we talked until one in the morning. We spent much time talking to each other about our lives, families and friends. We dated for many months before either of even thought about saying we loved each other. We were working on being friends first. But when we told each other we loved each other, we never get enough of it now. On June 27, 2004, Bill asked me to marry him. We had gone out to dinner as a family for my Birthday. Josh, Brit, Bill and myself. We had a black limo that picked us up and we ate dinner then went for a dive along the coast. At sunset we stopped on Mount Soledad over looking the entire city and the coast. We sat down on a bench and the kids were exploring the walking trails. Bill got down on his knees. He was so nervous, it took him five times telling me he loved me before he finally got it out. I was so excited that I grabbed the ring and put in on my own finger. Later Bill told me that he had the ring for over a year, but was waiting for the right moment or was too nervous to ask. It was the perfect time, we were in a beautiful location and the kids were with us. We both feel like we have completed the perfect family.
We chose April for our wedding because we wanted nice weather that wasn’t too hot or too cold. All I could think about was Bill in this tux and me in a wedding dress dying of heat. We both agreed we did want our attendants dying of heat either. So we decided on April 30, 2005 for our special day. The thing that caused us problems was the size and type of wedding we were going to have. I wanted a small quiet wedding in Las Vegas or Catalina Island. Bill wanted a larger wedding with all the fixings. Bill won this one. I guess I have had fun planning our special day together. The rest of the details your going to have to wait for until April…..
We picked La Mission Restaurant for our wedding and our reception site. We both liked the grounds and the setting. We are so looking forward to seeing our family and friends have a good time and just cut loose and enjoy the time with us. We hope that all of you will have a good time and it’s a time you will remember. I know its going to be a day we remember for the rest of our lives.
We have been so blessed in our lives that we are not registering at the traditional sites. We have chosen to register for our honeymoon. We want to spend a romantic, relaxing time away from our daily routines of home, kids, work and school. Our dream is to spend our honeymoon in Hawaii near the ocean and all the beauty that is Hawaii. We want to visit all the touristy type things, but we also want to spend time just relaxing with each other as we have not had a lot of time to do this since we started planning the wedding and I went back to school.
Bill and I would like to take a moment and thank all of our family and friends for all the support and love they have given throughout our lives. We want to extend our thanks to you for sharing our special day with us, as we become husband and wife. We are truly best friends that will become one. We hope you all will enjoy the day with us. We also want to thank you for helping us to be able to have the honeymoon of our dreams. It does mean so much to us that you are helping this become a reality. We wish for every one of you the happiness that Bill and I feel at this time. We want for each of our loved ones to find that one special person and if you have them already, to cherish them. We also want to send out special love to our loved ones who are no longer with us. For me it is my parents who are not with us any longer, but we know they are looking down on us wishing all their best. Again we want to thank each and every one of you for the love and support you have given to us.
