Chris coming home for two weeks of midtour leavepic of Chris and I at his welcome home ceremony! HOME FOR GOOD!!
I drove up to spend the weekend with Chris one Friday evening; his friend Glen was there so I figured we'd all just hang out. When I got there, however, Glen immediately offered to take my bag upstairs & Chris ran to move my car closer. Both guys dashed away, leaving me standing there alone, wide eyed. After that Glen left, & Chris & I went up to his apartment. When I opened the door I was shocked; the room was FILLED with candles! It was beautiful, every flat surface was covered in them. He didn't propose right away though, (I think he got nervous :) ,but soon he got down on both his knees in front of me and said the most romantic things about the rest of our lives and how much he loved me. I cried when he asked me if I would marry him, whispered yes, & he just held me. It was perfect!
Our wedding will be held on March 4, 2006 at the Corvallis Country Club in Corvallis, OR. A specific time has not yet been set but we do know we plan an evening ceremony and the reception will follow in the same location.

PLEASE SEE BELOW for phone numbers to the hotels we have blocked off. We have rooms at both the Hilton and Salbasgeon Suites for discounted rates both for Friday before the wedding and Saturday of the wedding. Both hotels are very nice and neither are very far away from the Country Club, although the Hilton is a bit closer.

Bridesmaids: Chantel Greene, Kate Hopson, and Emily Dantuma
Groomsmen: Glen Ray, Scott and Steven Warren
The reception will immediately follow the wedding in the same location. Since this is an evening wedding and reception, we hope you will think about getting a hotel so you will not have to leave early and drive home! We'd like to share our evening with you!
We have blocked off a group of rooms at two of the nice hotels in Corvallis. The first one is the Salbasgeon Suites. They offer a room with either a king or two queens, a fridge in the room, a microwave, etc. and a very nice free continental breakfast. The other one we blocked off is the Hilton Garden Inn. The rooms are very similar, with the same ammenities, but they do not offer a free breakfast. The main advantage to the Hilton is it's a tiny bit closer to the country club but in a town the size of Corvallis that isn't a huge issue. Both hotels have rooms blocked off for March 3rd and 4th.
Salbasgeon Suites: $72-75/ night. 1-800-965-8808 or 541-753-4320
Hilton Garden Inn: $79/ night 541-752-5000
UPDATE: Chris is supposed to return from Iraq as soon as Jan 22nd now! It is so exciting to have him coming home!

REGISTRY: We are registered at three places: honeymoon wishes (this site), Target, and JC Penney.

Chris and I hope to see you all there! We look forward to sharing this day with our family and friends!
