We first met when we were 10 years old because of a mutual connection. :) Thank you Faith! Little did we know what our future held.
In December of 2006, after a suggestion made by our "mutual connection," Glenn asked Lisa to accompany him to a company Christmas Party. We had a wonderful time and danced the night away. The weekend was filled with laughter, good conversation, and astonishing attraction. :) As the weekend came to a close, it was quite obvious that there was an easy chemistry between us. This was the beginning of our wonderful romance!
Since that first date, our love for one another has grown into a beautiful exchange of trust, respect, and honesty. As we continued our courtship, we both were amazed how much we had in common; our personalities, humor, caring, concern, affection and desire to enjoy life. We remain in awe at how we just "click" and everything is so natural. Words cannot describe just how complete we feel together, unless you are experiencing it yourself. It is such a blessing for both of us to finally experience a healthy and loving relationship.
We both love the outdoors, camping, working out, playing kickball with the kids, talking, romancing, cooking, and simply just spending time together. The common interests we share include all of the above and most importantly our faith in Jesus Christ, our Saviour. We both believe He is responsible for bringing us together and we are in awe of the prayers that He has answered. We are so thankful and we owe Him our lives.
563 days after that first date, on June 24, 2008, Glenn's proposal was made at the very same place and in the very same room, where our love story began at The Pine Lodge in McHenry, MD.
After much thought and consideration, we have decided to start our new life together in beautiful and romantic Jamaica. We are both dreaming of the day that we profess our love and commitment by exchanging our sacred vows. Lisa will wear a white dress with beaded lace and Glenn will be in tropical linen pants and matching shirt. We plan to make our promises of eternal love, fidelity, honor, and respect, overlooking the crystal waters of the Caribbean Ocean in the gazebo located on the Couples San Souci resort.
Our reception will convene immediately following the ceremony and pictures, on the grounds of the resort. Our first dance will be to our song, These are the Moments by Edwin McCain.
