November 25, 2004: I convinced Bessie to go to Fisherman's wharf one night to go check out the Xmas lights there. It was a good excuse to be alone somewhere and also a romantic place to propose.. We walked up to the 2nd floor of the pier and looked out over the balcony. I whispered sweet nothings to her, but she was not listening; her mind still on work. I had tried to distract her with how great the moon looked and how a bird in the sky was a sign of something magical. I then proceeded to bend down on one knee, but she told me to stand up. "What are you doing Mike? Looks like you are about to propose or something!" Perfect...I then brought out the ring and said, "Yes I am..." After not believing it for 5 minutes or so, she finally said yes and we've been smiling together ever since.

The wedding will take place at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco on October 22, 2005 at 6 pm. A one hour cocktail reception will follow immediately after the ceremony with an open bar and hors d'oeuveres. Drink up everyone!
