How we came to be (as told by Annette's view):
We first met at Easter brunch in 2007. My friend Lisa had coordinated a little brunch with people from her growth groups at church. She included the Dime family who I did not think I knew... but turns out I had met Larry (Josh's dad) at the gym several months prior... so that day I met Josh for the first time. Then in August we saw each other at a party. And I tried to set him up with another girl.... glad that did not turn out! Josh had even walked me to my car that night. So nothing brewing with us yet...
In November of 2007 Josh came to an Apple Cup party I threw. We played a game of pool and chatted a bit. At the same time Josh's mom Paula and I were chatting more and more... And I went on some dates with a 23 year old... I swear this all ties together in the end...
I remember talking to Josh at the Christmas Eve Eve service at church. He told me his sister found out they were having a baby boy. I remember having the weirdest "feeling" that made me see Josh as someone in my life. I kind of ignored that because I never figured he would be interested in an older, single mom...
January 2008... Paula and I went to a movie and continued to chat. She learned I had gone out with a 23 year old (but was not anymore)... apparently Josh learned this through her and figured he was 25, I should go out with him... So he got my number from his mom, and asked me out. We have been together ever since our first unofficial date on February 2nd.
Josh started talking marriage in July quite to my surprise at first! But the more we talked I knew everything about it was right. In August he asked my dad for my hand in marriage. After over a 2 hour conversation, he had the go-ahead... we were trying to figure out when to get married and told our pastor we were thinking of summer 2009 so Josh's sister could make it for sure. Pastor Dave said no way, you can't wait that long! So we decided on December 27th... Josh officially asked me to marry him on Ocotber 29th (yes, invites had been mailed already!). He asked by showing me the best magic trick ever. And I said yes.
