How We Met:
We both worked at an Italian restaurant, and after much conversation during one shift, we realized we eerily had a lot in common, especially the same musical interests. Through this, our friendship developed outside of work on a more personal level. After the great friendship developed, deep feelings of love started to follow. Our love did not fully develop until a year later, when I had returned back home from college for the following summer. Inevitably, we were unable to resist being together, and have not parted or looked back since. In each other we have found the deepest love and the best friendship imaginable. I am excited to marry my best friend!!
How We Got Engaged:
For a couple of weeks, I had the suspicion that Will was doing something behind my back (little did i know that it was ring shopping!). We had both become a little distant; Will for trying to keep this big secret, and me for feeling like he didn't want to be with me anymore. One night after work, Will sat beside me and started to explain that there was a reason for the way he had been acting, and apologized for making me feel as though he was so distant. My neurotic mind instantly thought he was breaking up with me. He then asked "what if i told you i had a ring in my car for you?" My initial reaction was "bullshit," and he then asked if i wanted to go on a walk with our dogs, and he brought me out to his car. Once we got there I expected him to tell me that he was joking and that there was no ring, but that there would be someday. He opened the glove box, pulled out a little red box, and explained that i was always in the house by the time he got home, and couldn't get the box inside without me knowing. He opened the box and i saw the most beautiful, sparkly ring i'd ever seen! I dont remember all that was said, since I was in complete shock (and standing next to a DEAD CAT!), and was crying hysterically. I do remember Will telling me how much he loved me and if i would be his wife, and i screamed "YES!!!!" I think I surprised us both with how hysterically i was crying tears of joy!
We will wed at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Barrington, IL on October 31, 2009.
Get ready for a PARTY at Makray Memorial Golf Club in Barrington, IL, following the ceremony. Although it is a Halloween wedding, we DO NOT want costumes!! Formal attire is required!!!
Welcome friends and family. You have all impacted our lives and have made us become the people we are now, and are very excited to celebrate this big day with all of you. Get your dancing shoes on!!! Marci, a 2002 graduate of Fremd High School, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Illinois State University in 2007. She is employed as a Commercial Interior CAD Planner with Sears Holdings Corporation in Hoffman Estates. Will, a 1996 graduate of Carmel High School, attended his collegiate years at Kirkwood College in Iowa City and finished at Columbia College in Chicago. He is employed as a Sales Specialist with Careerbuilder.com in Chicago. We currently reside in Barrington, IL.
