J.D. and Whitney met during the summer of 2003 but didn't start dating until October 2004. They met at Cal Poly while J.D. was pursuing a degree in Kinesiology and Whitney a degree in Dietetics. They got to know each other well since they were both members of the Cal Poly cross country and track teams. They dated throughout college and moved in together in June of 2007. They also added two new members to their family--Izzy and Ryder, their two adorable kitties! J.D. finally decided to propose after Whitney graduated from Cal Poly. On June 25, 2008 J.D. recreated their first date--dinner at a sushi restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga and a romantic stroll around a local high school track. He then led her to the middle of the track, got down on one knee and pulled out the most gorgeous Hearts On Fire ring she had ever seen. Without any hesitation she said yes! They are now anxiously awaiting their upcoming wedding and honeymoon!

Our wedding is going to take place on October 2, 2009 at the Black Gold Golf Course in Yorba Linda, CA.
