June 13th will be a very special day for us, it will begin the rest of our lives together.
To be honest, we don't know how we met. We somehow got each other's phone number and started talking. After about 2 years, we finally met. After being friends for about a month, we realized we wanted to be more than friends and we got officially together. And the rest is history. The time we have been together have been truly amazing, and we couldn't be more happier.
As of now, Geoph is a paint salesman at Miller Paint in Eugene, OR, and has the dream to become a pilot (he is going back to school soon). Christa graduated from Western Oregon University in December with a Bachelor's of Science in Community Health Education and a minor in Psychology. She is working with developmentally disabled adults in Corvallis, OR and is very happy with her job right now. She wants to either go to nursing school or get her masters fall of 2010, she hasn't decided yet. She just knows she wants to work with people and help improve people's lives. As of right now, the happy couple resides in Corvallis, Oregon.
Now onto how Geoph proposed...We were at his nan's house in Kelso, Washington for Christmas (2007). We all were opening presents and had finished. But Geoph wasn't done apparently. He pulled out the ring, and told me he loved me more than anything and popped the question. Of course I cried and said yes! And it started snowing in the middle of all this, which was just an added bonus to a perfect Christmas.
We are very excited to be getting married at the Green Villa in Independence, OR. The ceremony will start at 5pm in the garden. The directions to Green Villa are:
FROM I-5 NORTHBOUND:
-Exit off at the Mission St./Santiam Highway exit
-Stay on Mission Street through town
-Turn right on Liberty Street
-Turn left on Marion Street
-Go over the Marion Street bridge and get into one of the 2 left lanes (signs read "Highway 22 and Ocean beaches")
-Turn left at Highway 51 (Independence Highway)
-Follow until you get to Green Villa
FROM I-5 SOUTHBOUND
-Take the Salem Parkway exit
-Salem Parkway converges with Commercial Street during a left turn
-Stay on Commercial Street
-Turn right on Marion Street
-Go over the Marion Street bridge and get into one of the left 2 lanes (signs read "Highway 22 and Ocean Beaches")
-Turn left at Highway 51 (Independence Highway)
-Follow until you get to Green Villa

The reception is going to be in the barn across the street from the ceremony (garden). We will be having chicken (2 different kinds), along with chicken bella pasta, fruit, salad and bread. Beer and wine will be available, but you will have to pay for your own drinks. There will obviously be non-alcoholic beverages as well.
The reason why we're doing a honeymoon registry is because we actually do not need a lot of appliances and stuff for our apartment. We don't have a house yet and haven't settled down yet, so we thought it would be appropriate to do a honeymoon registry. We would rather be able to do a lot of different activities on our honeymoon, and a honeymoon registry is the perfect way to do that :)
