Our Story

Robert and Laura met in November 2004 at Waterford Receptions. Robert was already working there when Laura started to work as a server/ bartender in that reception venue. Robert said that Laura's red frames eye glasses and her charming personality is what captured his attention. Laura said that his laugh, jokes, kindness, the way that he begun showing his interest to her and definitely his cooking. They just clicked from the beginning. They became good friends. In June 2006 he invited her to his new house and made a candle light dinner for Laura's birthday. They talked for hours.. really hours... they talked about family, cooking, books, music, he was surprise when she knew some ska bands, and they realized how much they had in common, both had moved from their home town leaving their parents and siblings, they both loved Latin cuisine, They both have big families, they both watched iron chef, and even though they both came from different parts of the world they both shared the same families values. They started to spend a lot of time together and soon realized that they were meant to be! Laura and Robert have been together ever since!!

Laura y Robert se conocieron en Noviembre del 2004 en Waterford Receptions. Robert ya trabajaba ahi cuando Laura comenzГі a trabajar como camarera/bartender en ese salГіn de fiestas. Robert dice que lo que primero le llamГі la atenciГіn de Laura fueron sus lentes rojos y su encantadora personalidad. Laura dice que lo que primero le llamo la atenciГіn de Robert fue su sentido del humor, su amabilidad, la manera en la que el comenzГі a demostrarle su interГ©s hacia ella y obviamente su sazГіn al cocinar. Los dos congeniaron y se llevaron bien desde que se conocieron, se volvieron buenos amigos. Para el cumpleaГ±os de Laura en Junio del 2006 Robert la invitГі a su casa preparandole una cena romГЎntica a la luz de las velas. Hablaron por horas y horas (si conoces bien a Laura sabes que lo conversadora lo lleva en los genes). Hablaron acerca de sus familias, comida, libros, mГєsica, Robert se sorprendiГі cuando Laura conocГ­a a algunos grupos de Ska y se dieron cuenta de cuanto los dos tenian en comГєn. Ambos se habГ­an mudado lejos de sus hogares dejando a sus padres y hermanos buscando un futuro mejor, ambos adoran la comida latina, ambos vienen de familias numerosas, ambos les gusta los mismos shows de televisiГіn, y aunque los dos vienen de diferentes partes del mundo tienen los mismos valores familiares. Comenzaron a compartir bastante tiempo juntos y pronto se dieron cuenta que eran el uno para el otro y que estaban destinados a estar juntos. Desde ese dГ­a han sido inseparables.

Our Wedding
