Thank you for coming to our wedding website. Jennifer will tell our story:

"In August 2008, I went home to see my parents. One day as my mother and I were lying on the beach, she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said "I just don't understand why you can't find someone that will be able to take care of you instead of you always having to take care of them. You have to stop rescuing men or settling for something that might just be tolerable." I had a few relationships that took away from me instead of improving me. Anyway, I say all this because at that moment, with my mother's tearful heartfelt remark, I changed. I didn't know it then, but I see it now.

My friends Melissa and Terry 'kidnapped' me to Vegas. This is when I stumbled on Roger. One morning in the pool of a Vegas hotel, a man stared at me. I left the pool area and returned only to find him still staring. So I sat down in front of him and the smalltalk began. Then my friends joined us and we had fun for a couple hours, talking and laughing. The entire time though, I felt like this man was truly listening to every word I said. His eyes followed me with interest and I truly felt comfortable. I gave him my number, since we had to part ways for the afternoon. He promised we would hang out on the Strip that night.

My friends and I hung out that evening at several casinos and finally I saw him again. He remembered that earlier in the day I had mentioned that I had never seen the light/water show at the Bellagio any of the times I had been to Vegas. We walked to the Bellagio and watched the short show. This is the first thing he did for me! (See, it isn't hard to please me... just had to listen.) Well, we hung out at the hotel hottub for hours and talked....and any of you that know me can imagine how that conversation went -- yup, I spilled my entire life story!! He was holding something back though. There was something he was not telling me. Well I thought I would never see him again and in fact told him. "Call me next time you're in Vegas".

Several days later, he called. He was missing me. Long story short, he was separating from his wife and although we both were excited about each other, he had to finish that first. He reassured me and said we would talk again soon. Our relationship was whirlwind fast after that moment. I was 3 hours away and the distance seemed impossible for both of us. I don't think I have ever been that impatient since I was 12 years old about anything!!! A few short weeks later, he moved to where I was currently living. Any little gesture I could have ever wanted someone to do for me he did. He was amazing. I have never felt so spoiled, so loved, so cherished in my life.

Every day has been better than the one before. We laugh alot. We appreciate life and love -- and consider ourselves so lucky to be able to share it with the other. He had several relationships in his past that made him appreciate ours even more. He asked me to marry him in January, overlooking the Los Angeles skyline at the Observatory. We didn't think either of us would do this again, but both of us are excited about the future."

Our Wedding will occur on October 10, 2010 (10/10/10). Laguna Beach, CA at Heisler Park. We want all of our family and friends to be present while we pledge ourselves to each other, but most of Jennifer's friends and family are in NC so we know it will be very difficult for them. For those that can , we would like to share more time with you than one day, so if possible, please book vacation time for the week after and come with us to party! We appreciate your efforts, your wishes and prayers for our future. For those that can come.... there is little time to plan the air and hotel. I will help if I can with picking people up from airport, etc. Just let me know!!!

Mission Viejo is the town nearby for the reception. The venue is actually a Mexican Restaurant, but the menu choices are more traditional. Menu choices will be included in invitation.

Jennifer has paid careful attention to so many details.... but has recently decided to concentrate on the music, food, and fun!!!! She can barely wait to dance the night away! Maybe she can even talk Roger into a few dances too!

Nearest Airport is SAN - Orange county/John Wayne airport. But, LAX is within 1 hr of the locale. We will be picking people up from LAX.

Also we have reserved a couple rooms at a nearby hotel. If you reserve a room there too, let us know and the week before we will attempt to "block" the rooms so we can hang out easier. If you request a Choice Privileges card, the rooms are very inexpensive. This is the link to the hotel: http://www.qualityinn.com/hotel-lake_forest-california-CAC63?sid=Y8UsM.AeIetg4nsi.11&sarea=87971&sname=Lake+Forest%2C+CA%2C+US&sstate=CA&scountry=US&sradius=40.00&slat=33.619186&slon=-117.702199&schain=A&exp=&scity=&sort=&type=&map=n&rstart=Starting+Location&rend=Ending+Location&srp=RACK&nroom=1&nadult1=1&nchild1=0&nadult2=&nchild2=&nadult3=&nchild3=&nadult4=&nchild4=&nadult5=&nchild5=&sstate_country=

Thanks so much for the positive encouragement from so many of you... we are so excited and happy. For those of you that have seen us together, we are sure you will agree. October will be here before you know it.... :)

We are open to any suggestions any of you might have for honeymoon trips, etc.

Also, we have a registry attached to this website related to such a honeymoon. For those that are not comfortable with this, we will also register at a Bed,Bath, and Beyond. Thanks for asking already. :)
