Our Story

First of all we knew each other from high school. We didn't talk to each other much back then, but we did know of each other. Now lets fast forward ten years, we happened to join the same gym in Greenville, S.C. We would cross paths from time to time and it was still like high school...we didn’t talk very much. After about a month of awkward moments, I finally stopped her and broke the ice. We started reminiscing about Mauldin high and ever since then we got along fine and eventually started dating. In the gym she came off as a little mysterious and stand offish at times, but on the first date I knew that I would like this lady. She was shy but lighthearted, funny, and fine! ***note - this is the first time I got to see her in clothing other than workout attire. :)*** After dating for a while the two of us noticed that we had a lot of things in common like; a good sense of humor ,accomplishing goals, spending time together, and just enjoying each others company overall. The point where we knew that we really liked each other is when we decided to go on vacation together. It was a BIG decision, spending so much time together would either reveal one of two things. One; we got on each nerves or two; we can enjoy each others company on a regular basis. It turned out that we really were compatible even across the country, stuck in traffic, with Tasheia passenger seat driving LOL. We returned home from having a GREAT time in California and we had grown even stronger as a couple. After three years we had discussed marriage and everything it involved. I decided to take the relationship to a new level and popped the question. SHE SAID YES!!!! I truly believe we both feel we have found our soul mates in each other. We still find out new and wonderful things about one another after all this time and look forward to spending the rest of our lives together. :)

Our Wedding

Our wedding will be held at Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Simpsonville, S.C. The ceremony will start at 4:30 on May 22, 2010.

Our Reception

The reception will be in the Grand Ballroom at the Marriott Hotel, Greenville, S.C.

Travel Arrangements

For friends and family who will be traveling for our special day. The Marriott will be providing a block of 20 rooms for a special rate of $89 per day for both single and double rooms. The cut-off date for reservations is May 3, 2010, please call 800-521-9118 to make your reservation. Be sure to specify you are with the Young/Wilson wedding for your special rate.
