Stephanie Slicker & Adam Ruiz
Our Story
How We Met:
We have know each other for about 10 years, through friends we were occasional acquaintances who saw each other randomly. Either I was dating someone or he was... the timing was never right. (I personally think we had to grow-up and mature in our lives and relationships, in order to really appreciate each other- Stephanie) At our friends wedding, we talked and hung out and from there our relationship started and grew...
How We Got Engaged:
We were in the process of building our new house, when we went to go see what progress that has been done. The walls and the roof had just been put up. I was telling Adam how Madison was so excited about her new room and that she was telling me that was going to be her favorite spot in the house. Adam asked me what my favorite spot in the house was, I told him the kitchen was probably going to be my favorite, it was everything I always wanted. Then I asked him what his favorite part was... at that time he got on his knee and said "Whatever spot you say you will marry me." His hands were shaking, he grabbed my right hand and asked if I would marry him. I smiled, bent down and gave him my left hand and told him "of course." How perfect was this... Starting our life together in a home we built together. To a begining of a lot of good memories... -Stephanie
