We met through our former motorcycle club almost 3 years ago. Gus had joined about 2 weeks prior to me. He claims he thought I was cute from the moment he saw me. I remember thinking that he was kinda cute for an old guy. :)

We really didn't talk much at first. Then one day when I was at Bubba's Big Deck studying for my Broker's license, Gus walked up to me and asked what I was doing. I told him. He replied "When you get your Broker's license, then you can be my girlfriend." And then he walked off. I thought to myself "Who is this joker?! I don't need a man. Whatever!". So naturally when I passed my exam, I called him and told him he was taking me out for a celebratory drink. The rest is pretty much history!

Gus' favorite saying is "Baby, how did this happen?". He was so sure when we met that he was never getting married again and never having any more kids. He would tell me "Don't fall in love with me, I'm not going to be what you want long term." I didn't care. I knew he was something special so I stuck around and waited till he realized I was so fabulous that he couldn't live without me! ;)
