Our Story

John and I met over the internet. Internet dating has brought many happy couples together and our story is one of those stories... Our first date was actually a blind date. We had only had seen each other through pictures on our internet sites and we spoke on the phone a few times. So, we had no idea what each other actually looked like. Our date was nothing fancy. We had to decided John was to come over to my house for a nice night of good conversation IN PERSON, some golf putting into a cup and cocktails. When I first saw John, I thought he had such a sweet face and his big smile swept me off my feet. The conversation was great and we laughed all night long. We enjoyed each others company so much that John came back the next day. At this time, I had a room available for rent in my townhome and I was looking for a new roomate. I had arranged for some possible renters to come see the room. John wanted to play the protective roll (which I didn't mind) and he wanted to be present in case one of them turned out to be a real creep. Before John had arrived, I arranged for my son Aaron to spend a few house at a neighbor friend's house. I had time to show the room and spend some more quality time with John. While John and I were sitting on the couch, talking and watching TV, my cell phone rang. The neighbor who was watching Aaron called and she said she had to go somewhere right away and she had already sent Aaron on his way home. I started to panic thinking that John and I only met the night before and "already" he's going to meet my son? I only had minutes to prep John before Aaron walked through the door. John was a trooper. When Aaron and John met already they were two peas in a pod... But because John met Aaron so soon after our date, I wasn't sure if I would see or hear from him again... Two days later, I received a call from John while I was at work. It was quite a shock for me (as you could imagine). I knew than "this guy is different" and when he invited me to go to Catalina Island by helicopter for another date I was floored!... "Of course" I went and I am so glad I did. The day we took a helicopter to Catalina was the day John and I fell in love. It was just was one of those situations when you "just knew". We knew we found the person we would spend the rest of your lives with. Two years have passed since that amazing date in Catalina. Since than, John, Aaron and I have grown into a beautiful little family. John courageously took on the loving father figure to Aaron and a loving partner to me. Aaron and I in return love John just just as equally and we respect his bravery. Coming into our lives was a difficult task and John did it gloriously. We began our new journey together and we are excited to embarrass the future at what's yet to come. Today, we can not wait to get married in front of our closest relatives and friends.

Our Wedding

John and I are going to Hawaii (The Big Island) for our honeymoon. We knew if we had our wedding in Hawaii as well than not everyone would attend. Therefore, we are bringing Hawaii to you. Our theme is "Hawaiian casual". We want everyone to just have a real great time and not stress about dressing "formal". The wedding is being held in the wedding garden at the golf course near our home. Just put on a big floppy sun hat, a cool button up shirt or pretty sun dress and enjoy our day with us. To keep you cool and comfortable, there will be cold bottled water and fans while watching the ceremony. It should be a beautiful July wedding day.

Our Reception

To continue bringing Hawaii to you, we are holding the reception at "Don the Beach Comber". When we found this venue, it was one of our highlight moments of the planning for our special day. This place is completely Hawaiian themed. we cannot wait to share it with our friends and loved ones. There's a possibility you might really think your in Hawaii? That is highly doubtful but, it's as close as your going to get to the real thing. Please don't forget to sign in and pick up your drink ticket at the door. We will be having authentic Hawaiian food buffet and the DJ is very good from what I understand. This DJ company does VIP parties for celebrities. So, plan on dancing with us and plan on having a blast!

Travel Arrangements

We are leaving for our honeymoon the following day after the wedding in the afternoon on July 18th. We will be returning back to California the morning of July 23th. We are staying at the Royal Kona Resort (which is coincidentally where the 1st Don the Beach Comber is located). We are excited to see volcanos, crystal blue ocean and waterfalls. This will be the first trip together for us since Catalina and we can not wait to get there. It's well needed to say the least.
