Honeymoon Wishes

Brandilyn Bills & Richard Gorman

Our Story

Long story short...We "went together" long enough to become 1st loves and I was actually his 1st kiss. This all started in Feb. of 1990 in 8th grade at Frost ISD. I say ISD because all 13 grades went & go to 1 school. After "breaking up" and hearts somewhat mended we remained friends all through H.S. Finding out now we always kinda wanted to get back together off and on but neither of us ever made the move so we went on with our high school lives. After graduation we eventually went our separate ways and through the years we lost touch. I went to college for some time in San Marcos and he went and got himself into a bunch of trouble. The wonderful thing about it was God had His hand on us the whole time. I was trying to make things & events in my life happen here in Elgin (near Austin) and God was having to go and tear them down because He had other plans. Around April of 2009 God was trying to get Richard to open a facebook acct. but he was ignoring Him because what does God know about facebook right? haha. So finally he did and about 1-2weeks later I popped up somehow. HE FOUND ME!!! He was so excited and dropped me a quick email telling me he was a Minister in Corsicana and doing great. I was just relieved to find out he wasn't dead, but to find out he landed in the Kingdom of God too and doing wonderful... I was floored. I called my mom immediately and told her "I COULD HAVE MARRIED A MINISTER!!!” Even though I was going through a small rough patch in my life he couldn't have come at a more perfect time...God is never late. I too had found myself in the ministry by doing missionary work mostly in Nigeria Africa and joining the prayer team at church and such. We were so excited for each other's relationship both of us had found in Christ Jesus. Not only were we both in God's Kingdom doing His work; we both had like beliefs and totally equally yoked you might say. After talking on the phone for 2 weeks for hours & hours a night we started falling for each other- all over again. So on Aug. 14th I packed up and headed to Corsicana.... I hadn't seen this wonderful creature in over 13yrs. I had to make sure I wasn't going crazy with all these rapid feelings stirring up. To say the least we knew we were meant to be together after 72 hrs of reunion and we haven't doubted it since. We had been praying to God for basically the same type of mate; a godly man & woman, someone that would strengthen our relationship with Christ and not take away from. So you can imagine when we pray together now we never forget to thank God for this blessing He has delivered to us. When you know...YOU KNOW!!! To say the least…I accepted Richard's proposal 3 months later on Sunday, Nov.15, 2009.

Our Wedding

Our Wedding!!! We are solely dedicating not only our marriage to God but also our wedding ceremony. We are looking at it like it's not just Richard and me getting married but more like Richard, Brandilyn & God coming into contract together~ a 3 cord strand. We know that we know it was God who re-united us and we have already seen His hand in our relationship time after time. (see blog.)

Our wedding will be held Saturday, March 6th, 3pm at Family Worship Center in Elgin TX. This has been Brandilyn’s home church for over 11 years. We will be praying for nice weather to have it on the island at the church but the sanctuary will be our second option.

Child care will be provided for the wedding ceremony only.

Please fell free to visit the church’s website at: www.fwcelgin.com

A Special Message From Us

First we want to make sure we let everyone know how much each and everyone of you mean to us. We know we are so blessed to have such close friends and family that truly love us. Most of you guys have seen us through out the years and know that this union of Richard and I is such a God-send and recognize neither one of us take this matrimony lightly but embrace and cherish not just this moment of the wedding and honeymoon but the beginning of our lives together. He and I are so excited that words can not express. So we want to not only invite you to our wedding but we also would like to invite you to be a part of honeymoon. Since we have everything we need we didn’t want to register at some store for items we really don’t “need” so we knew this was a great way to have our family, friends and all our loved ones still be able to be apart of this occasion. With every contribution we get to take a piece of you with us and we wouldn’t want it any other way. So thank you again for not only being a part of our lives, our wedding but now apart of our honeymoon.
