Brooke & Stacie
Brooke and I (Stacie) met in Madison, Wisconsin over Thanksgiving weekend of 2008. Our relationship has grown throughout the past year+ and we are thrilled to commit our lives to one another.

Since our paths merged at a time when many of our friends and family are at a distance, we thought we'd take a minute to tell you a bit more about us individually. In short, it's a "quick view" for those yet to meet one of us...

Brooke was born and raised in SE Michigan and moved to Madison in 2007 after finishing her degree at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. Brooke is currently a police officer for the City of Madison. Brooke is funny, smart, and an absolute joy in my world. I am a truly lucky woman to have found her.

I (Stacie) was also born and raised in Michigan and moved to Madison in 2008 to pursue a doctorate in counseling psychology. I am currently a full time student, teach undergrads in my department, and have the pleasure of seeing clients for therapy at a couple of local sites.

As a couple, Brooke and I enjoy talking, playing games, talking, listening to music, talking, spending time with friends, and talking. For those of you who know us well, I imagine the theme of "talking" to be of little surprise.

I had the pleasure of living in Seattle for almost 10 years and am excited to share the Pacific Northwest with Brooke on our Honeymoon in August.
Brooke and I will formalize our commitment to one another with a private exchange of rings on February 13, 2010.
Brooke and I will have a reception with family and friends in Michigan with an evening out on March 27th and a brunch on March 28.

We will have a local reception for friends in Madison on Saturday, May 15.
Brooke and I plan to take our Honeymoon in August, 2010. We hope to travel from Chicago to Seattle aboard an Amtrak sleeping car. We have opted to travel via train to enjoy the beauty and diversity of the States and to experience a slower pace of travel than flight (besides, those of you who know Brooke know that she's terrified of flying and I don't particularly want to start the trip with her sedated). :)
Our thanks to our friends and family who have offered support, love, and encouragement throughout our relationship. We are excited about the commitment we have made to one another at this point and eagerly anticipate spending the rest of our lives together.

We appreciate your choice to support our honeymoon dream through this registry. With family and friends spread across the country (and world), we wanted to select an option that was simple for all. Thank you!
