It all began back in early May of 2009, Brandon was picking up Steph Black's kindergarten class. Steph asked Brandon if he had a girlfriend. He did not, she then asked if he would be interested in meeting her sister in-law Laura. Steph left a picture and number in Brandon's mailbox at work for him to contact Laura. The funny part is that Laura didn’t know that Steph was out match making for her.

Brandon decided to look Laura up on facebook and sent a message via facebook to see if it would be ok to text Laura. So, for the next few days, the soon to be love birds text'd each other and worked out a time for Laura and Brandon to meet.

The date was May 19th. Laura came to Brandon's apartment and cooked dinner. This meal started a life changing friendship. Over the next few months we began to find out how much we enjoyed each other’s company, especially Laura’s lasagna and enchiladas.

Summer came and went, then Fall. Laura began watching Brandon coach football games on Fridays and then would go with him to Duck football games on Saturdays during the fall.

The fall went by fast, and before these two knew it, Christmas was right around the corner.
December 21st 2009 will be forever a special day for Brandon and Laura. Brandon had an early morning meeting at the school district office. Brandon had to dress up out of his usual work attire for this meeting, so he suggested to Laura that they both take advantage of this opportunity and go out for a wine tasting afterwards at King's Estate Winery.

The two went for lunch. The afternoon was amazing, it was clear that day, unique for a December day here in this part of Oregon. After the two of us enjoyed our meal, Brandon got down on one knee and proposed. Laura’s response elicited a jubilant cheer from all around,

The rest is history; the two of us will be married June 19th!
