Tina Anderson & Mathew Gdowski

Our Story

We met over our love of photography. We found each other on the Internet and became friends. Our friendship blossomed into love over a meeting at Starbucks in 2008. Mat took me for a ride in his Mustang Cobra that night and then we watched a movie together. Ever since then that is what we like to do together. We travel and photograph things and watch a lot of movies. I also got Mat hooked on reading again. I'm a voracious reader and I guess Mat wanted to share that with me too. We both work for our community as civil servants. I work in the Las Vegas City Attorney's Office and Mat works for North Las Vegas as a 911 call taker. So, we relate to each other in our respective fields. We love to go for long walks and occasionally go out on the town. We love to cuddle up and watch a movie with our two cats. I have a son named Liam and we like to take him to places like Red Rock and Valley of Fire. If you have never been to Las Vegas you must check these places out. They are spectacular naturally beautiful jewels in our Desert. Mat asked me to marry him after we had known each other for about one year. He surprised me one day at work with flowers and a ring. He even got down on his knee! This shocked some of my onlooking co-workers and news traveled fast! Pretty soon my entire office was congratulating us on our engagement. It was nice that I got to share that with them. Ever since then, my coworkers have been asking me about the wedding planning. It's been so much fun planning a wedding with Mat proudly and gallantly chipping in to help wherever he can. I just know that our wedding day will be so special and I can't wait to share it with our friends and family!

Our Wedding

We have chosen the Paris Hotel here in Las Vegas as the site for our wedding. I love anything French but since I can't afford to actually get married in Paris, France, I thought this would be a fun alternative. It will be on October 10, 2010 at Noon. We are keeping it fairly small and simple. The chapel only holds 90 people so Mat and I have been agonizing over the guest list. I wish we could invite a lot more people but we must keep it to the size of the chapel.

Our Reception

We have finally settled on a reception location after months of searching. It will be at the Hilton Grand Garden Inn in Las Vegas. It's on the South end of the Strip. It will begin at 1 pm and go until 5 pm. We are going to have appetizers, lunch, wine cake and a champagne toast followed by music and dancing! I can't wait to celebrate with everyone!

Travel Arrangements

We are going to leave for our honeymoon on October 11, 2010. We are driving to Estes Park, Co and staying at the Stanley Hotel. One somewhat unique thing that Mat and I like to do together is ghost hunting. So, we've chosen to stay at the Stanley Hotel because it is notoriously haunted. It is also the place where Stephen King wrote his novel the Shining. It is located in the Rocky Mountain National Park so we are very much looking forward to hiking and taking a ton of pictures. We are staying at the hotel for one week and then driving back to Las Vegas. I can't wait...I LOVE road trips!

A Special Message From Us

We are so grateful for our friends and family and all of the support and love they have given us! We can't wait to share our wedding day with all of you.
