We met in 1993. We dated briefly, but the bride's mom felt Otis was toooooo old for her high school daughter. However, Otis and Michelle remained friends. Michelle and Otis reconnected on facebook on April 9th of 2009. The phone call that night was 5 hours. The two who had not seen one another in years decided that Otis would come over to Michelle's bridal shop that Saturday so that they could see what one another looked like since so many years had passed. Each liked what they saw and continued to date over the next few months.

Otis finally got up the nerve to propose on February 7th during the superbowl party at Michelle's house in front of his family. He put the ring in a cupcake and got on bended knee professing his love...

The wedding will be September 25th at Shady Hill Baptist Church in Roxboro at 5:00p.m.

The reception will be held at Homestead Festival House in Roxboro immediately following.
