Jennifer Mosier & Christopher Burke
Our Story
Chris comes from the small town of St. Paul in the heart of the Willamette Valley of Oregon. Chris however began his journey on August 2, 1978, in San Francisco, California not to far from Jennifer's hometown of San Jose, California where she joined the world on September 4, 1979. From San Francisco Chris moved to Oregon, to New Jersey, back to Oregon and eventually landed in St. Paul, OR. Jennifer liked San Jose so much that she stayed there.
Fortunately for Jennifer and Chris they decided to move to the "Biggest Little City in the World" in 2001, albeit on separate paths. After exploring the Reno/Tahoe area for five years separately the two finally met! On May 5th, 2006 an unassuming Chris met an unassuming Jennifer in a bar called Roxy in Reno, NV... It wasn't until the Reno Rodeo at the end of June that same year that they had their first official date! Fast forward to 2010 and Jennifer and Chris reflect on the last four years...
"I would say that I courted Jennifer for a short period of time before I knew she was a very special girl. Jennifer and I have a passion for so many of the same things like traveling, OSU Beavers, Family, etc... I love Jennifer's family like my own and I know she feels the same about mine. I know that she supports me one hundred percent. When I was faced with a career choice that would take me back to Oregon I knew Jennifer had to come with me. I did not hesitate and neither did she, we packed up and moved. I could not have done it without her. After a challenging year at work for the both of us I was able to really relax and focus on my personal life. The very first thing I did was look for the perfect ring and the perfect time and on December 19th 2009, I made it official at the Portland City Grill in Downtown Portland. The planning of the wedding began the very next morning and I'm looking forward to the day that I'm officially married to this very special girl! She is truly my favorite, my love and my best friend and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with her."
"Someone once told me that true love is your soul's recognition of its counterpoint in another. I knew right away that Chris was mine. He is my rock, my guide, my best friend. I find that as we move forward together I love and appreciate him more each day."
Travel Arrangements
For our honeymoon we are planning a US Cross Country Adventure!
Our journey will begin in our home of Corvallis, OR. The trek (by Eco-Friendly vehicle) will take us through Yellowstone National Park, the Black Hills of South Dakota where we will come face to face with four of our former President's. We will then continue on through the mid-west and take in the powerful beauty of Niagara Falls and up to Peacham, VT. After enjoying fresh Maple Syrup (right from the tree) and foliage in the Notheast we will head south by southwest through the Empire State stopping in New York City. From NYC we'll travel down the Blue Ridge mountains to Georgia, from here we head to New Orleans for a night on Bourbon Street and then on to the great state of Texas. Then it's a jet plane home, where our memories from the fantastic voyage will forever stay.
