Tara Wheatley & Jeff Krechting
Our Story
Tara and Jeff met on August 16, 2007 at Riverbend Music Center in Cinncinati, OH where they were attending a Kenny Chesney concert. They were hanging out with mutual friends when they caught each other's eye. They had their first official date a little over a week later when they saw the movie "Superbad". Jeff offered to help Tara move that weekend and while he never dreamed she would take him up on the offer, she did. They continued to date throughout Tara's final years in pharmacy school. Jeff's family knew it was meant to be because his grandmother wanted nothing more than for him to meet a great girl and the day they met was later the same week she passed away. Everyone else knew it was meant to be when Tara decided to stay in Cincinnati instead of heading back to Kentucky when she graduated.
Jeff proposed on October 24, 2009 near Tara's home while they were on a walk down Frogtown Road. Despite subtle slips by Tara's family throughout the day, she was still pretty clueless about what was about to happen. It was a mild, sunny day and they took a walk as they often do when they are visiting her parents. Jeff remembers being very nervous and planning to get down on one knee several times before he actually did towards the end of their walk. Of course, Tara said "yes" and they began planning their big day, July 31, 2010.
