Lara Picard & Jeffrey Strawn

Our Story

Although we were formally introduced in March of 2007 while writing a manuscript together, we'd met casually a few times in the past. We both took horseback riding lessons at the same barn as teenagers. While in medical and pharmacy school, we volunteered at a homeless shelter clinic together. Although neither of us realized that our riding lessons were on the same day until we started dating, Lara remembers meeting Jeff at the homeless shelter. We began dating while writing our manuscript together. Since then, we have survived a pharmacy residency in Texas and psychiatry residency and fellowship at Cincinnati Children's. We became engaged while vacationing on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina at the end of last summer.

Wedding plans have been exciting and busy. We look forward to sharing our day with everyone, and then finally relaxing in Spain.
