Our Story
It's hard to believe that we've been engaged for 7 months now and the wedding is only 11 weeks away! We have been so busy planning the wedding, the time has just flown by. But we are having a lot of fun with it, and thought we would set up this site to start celebrating a little early!
Many of you know how we met, but for those of you that don't, it's a comical story. We originally met close to 10 years ago when Larry was dating one of my co-workers. We all went out as a group and that is how we were introduced to each other. A year or two later, we ran into each other again, started talking and kind of dated for a short time (obviously, Larry was not still dating the co-worker:) The timing just wasn't right for us at that point and we went our separate ways. Then, in January of 2008, we ran into each other for the third time, at Denny's Restaurant, and started talking again. We went on a few dates, which turned into a few more dates, which turned into forever! I guess the ole' saying is true: "Third Time's a Charm"
Our Wedding
We will be married on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Freeburg, IL (Larry's hometown). St. Paul's is located at 7 North Belleville Street, Freeburg IL, 62243.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 2pm but guests are encouraged to arrive early to sign the guest book and get a good seat!
Our Reception
Following the ceremony, we will be whisked away by the photographer for some pictures with the bridal party and are scheduled to arrive at the reception at 5pm.
The reception will be held at Albert's Banquet Center located at 1200 Centreville Ave, Belleville IL, 62220. From the church, it is a straight shot down Route 15 to the Centreville Avenue exit, turn left and Albert's is on the left, you can't miss it.
The reception hall/bar will be open immediately following the ceremony, however; dinner will not be served until 5:30. We are having a buffet style dinner catered by Fischers Restaurant.
After dinner, we will cut the cake and get the party started! Complete Music DJ Service will play our favorite tunes, as well as yours upon request, making sure everyone is having a good time so don't forget your dancing shoes!
