It started out as a harmless smile followed by nice to meet you. Steven and Amanda met though a mutual friend one Friday night during Amanda's senior year of High School in the fall of 2003. They both had a love of muscle cars at the time. Steven drove a Z28 Camaro in which Amanda loved riding shotgun. Their interest in each other was merely a friendship that grew throughout the years. They eventually became best friends, giving each other advice when one was down on their luck. This close bond and love they had for each other grew stronger every year until suddenly they realized that the one they had been searching for their entire life was sitting right beside them. They found out that this love grew into something deeper than a just friends love. They began dating on March 20th, 2008.
Fast forward to December 31st, 2009... The afternoon sun is beginning to set on Panama City Beach, Florida and Steven and Amanda are relaxing in the hot tub. Steven noticed that the sun is about to set over the ocean. After convincing Amanda to change into an outfit for the perfect sunset picture, the camera was set on a tripod so the two of them could capture a glimpse of the sun setting over the ocean with the two of them arm in arm. As the camera snapped, Steven had turned and gotten down on one knee to ask his best friend to marry him. As tears rolled from her eyes, she said YES! |
