Amanda Fowler & Colt Fincher

Our Story

Amanda Grace Fowler and Jeremy Colt Fincher met at University of Alabama at Birmingham in the summer of 2008. After entering the same program of study, they quickly became friends when they realized how close they lived next to each other. Colt was a good ol' country boy from Fayetteville, and Amanda was a sweet, loving girl from Weogufka. Their close friendship eventually turned into a loving relationship and will now turn into a beautiful marriage.

The Proposal:
Colt proposed to Amanda on the beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Supposedly, they were searching for a geocache. (Geocaching, which is like treasure hunting with a GPS, is a favorite pastime of the couple.) When they thought they had found the geocache, Colt knelt down on one knee to retrieve the tin can. After pulling out a few odds and ends such as a bullet shell, a fishing bobber, and a button, Colt finally retrieved a ring box from the tin can. He explained that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Amanda and asked her to marry him. Can you guess what she said???

Our Wedding

The wedding will take place at Weogufka Family Worship Center on December 18th, 2010. It will begin at 6:00 PM.
