Justin and Heather attended the same High School three grade years apart. When Heather was a Freshman in 2001 Justin was on his Senior year. Heather had a little "crush" on Justin during her freshman year, although nothing transpired between the two they both went on with their lives. It wasn't until 6 years after Justin's Senior year the two began to talk. January of 2007 Justin and Heather crossed paths with each other on a social networking website while Justin was stationed in Fort Wainwright, Alaska in the US Army. Even though the couple were miles apart they talked for hours at a time on the phone. A long distance relationship for nearly a year was worth the wait. Justin ended his service in the Army in January of 2008 after which he returned to Texas.

The Proposal:

My amazing boyfriend of almost 4 years asked me to be his wife on November 21st, 2010. It was a weekend we planned to take a road trip to the Hill Country of Fredericksburg, TX. The main reason for our little road trip to the Texas Hill Country was to see some of my family history that dates back to the early 1800's. My Great, Great, Great Grandfather Horace Wake worked on what use to be the Morris Ranch as a Thoroughbred race horse trainer. We were able to capture photos of buildings still standing of what use to be a part of the Morris Ranch. Afterwards, we stopped in Fredericksburg to stroll down Main Street to look in some of the charming country shops. We then checked into our cabin which was literally in the middle of the Hill Country. The cabin was amazing, the views were beautiful. It was our escape to the tranquility of the Texas Hill Country. We settled into our cabin having steaks and wine for dinner. After dinner we made smore's. The cool Texas November night made our experience even better. We woke up Sunday Morning to go hiking at Enchanted Rock. While hiking we found a quiet spot on a rock to enjoy a picnic and some wine while enjoying the serenity of the Hill Country Views. After we finished hiking Sunday evening we began to drive home until we made one last unexpected stop at Cross Mountain which has historical significance to Fredericksburg. Cross Mountain offers panoramic views of Fredericksburg. We walked up the hill and sat on a bench which was right next to the cross. As the sun began to set Sunday evening he knelt down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. It was so much more than I could ever imagine. It was truly amazing and I will never forget that day. I can now call him my fiance, and can not wait until the day I call him my husband.

Our ceremony and reception will be held at the Kosub Tree Farm in La Vernia, Texas on October 15, 2011 at Five O'Clock. Dinner and Dance will follow the ceremony. Bring your boots!

As many of you know, we won a five-day, four night honeymoon cruise to Cozumel, Mexico at the January 2011 Wedding Fair at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center. My name was the first drawn to participate in the "BIG DIG". Lucky contestants (Brides) dig through 6 wedding cakes to find tokens for prizes hidden throughout the cakes.

We have the opportunity to upgrade our five-day, four night cruise to a seven-day which will allow us to travel to Montego Bay, Jamaica / Grand Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico. We will still need to pay the upgrade difference along with upgrade to the balcony room, gas to Galveston port, passports, drinks, casino and excursion expenses. Our meals are included in our cruise package.

We are blessed with all the essentials a couple could need, what we desire is a honeymoon to treasure forever. With your contributions to our Honeymoon Wishes fund we will have the opportunity to experience lasting honeymoon memories on our Carnival cruise to the Caribbean!

We will be leaving for our honeymoon cruise on October 16th, 2011.

We are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends. We hope to share our special day with all who are dear to our heart.
