We believe in quiet miracles. One Sunday in 2008, we were introduced to each other following a worship service. Little did we know that God was beginning to reveal His plan for us and our lives together. We were not seeking or anticipating such an abundant gift of love. In fact, Dwyane was focused on my stylish high heels and I kept thinking about how nicely his plaid pants coordinated with his shoes.
Neither of us was focused on building a relationship except for a relationship with God. God knew this so He first created a very comfortable friendship for us to enjoy. We soon found ourselves at spur of the moment get-togethers and family gatherings. God was quietly drawing us closer. He continued to shape and mold us and eventually our relationship deepened into a clear reflection of His love.
At first we had found it coincidental that we shared the same family name, "ELAM" which is not a name that you often hear. We quickly realized that with God nothing is coincidental or accidental. As we looked back over our lives, it was revealed to us that God actually prepared us for this merger. It was designed for Him for His purpose and glory.

Our wedding date is January 15, 2011. Our colors are Truffle, Latte, Ivory, with a touch of gold. We decided on a winter wedding because it is a reflective season that follows a time of harvest. On our wedding day, we will usher in this season honoring and thanking God for allowing us to reap this harvest. We anticipate 400 people will join us in celebrating what God has joined together.

We anticipate that 250 family and friends will be attending our reception dinner. Reservations for the limited seating will be made based on the order in which the response cards are returned. Guests who will be attending the dinner will be presented an access ticket on the day of the wedding.

As we continue to celebrate and worship Him, He continues to bless us daily as His children. It is with this continuing sense of joyful awe and prayerful celebration that we approach our wedding day. Please join your prayers with ours as this unique day approaches. It will first be the day of worshipping our Lord and celebrating all His blessings including the wonderful blessing of our marriage. Thank you for your prayers, love, and support.
