Daniel the quiet smart guy and Melissa the social butterfly met their senior year of high school in their English class. Melissa and Daniel first noticed each other when they were assigned seats next to each other. They slowly became friends and then began having lunch together. After Melissa became friends with his group of friends she was asked to go to the bowling ally one morning. This was a challenge for Melissa because she is not a morning person. Melissa made it to the bowling ally to watch her new friends bowl, not knowing Daniel was going to be there. Daniel went to lunch with friends after bowling while Melissa remained at the bowling ally with other friends. When Daniel and his friend got back from lunch Melissa noticed Daniel and his friend messing around the their cars so she decided to say hey. By this time Daniel had gained enough confidence to ask Melissa to be his girlfriend. Melissa was happy and said yes. October 15th 2005 :-)
Fast forward 4 year, 4 months later, and a puppy later Daniel Bought THE RING! Then on a quiet Valentines night he got down on one knee and when prompted (because Daniel was shocked how emotional Melissa was) asked Her to be his one and only forever :-) Melissa said...YES! Feb 14th 2010.
Melissa and Daniel are now living happily together in their new townhouse with their puppy Peanut. |

Family & Friends
Thank you so very much for allowing this day to be a dream come true. Daniel and I are so very thankful to have each other in our lives and are also very blessed to have such wonderful family & friends supporting us in all walks of life. To our parents we thank you so very much for loving and caring for us while allowing us to be our true self no matter the troubles we cause, you wouldn't have it any other way. To the brothers and sisters (I am counting Sarah Pitcher as a sister). I can tell you nights at the Powell house hold would be no fun with out our two little brothers we love so much, they always keep us laughing. Life would not be the same if we did not have two of the most amazing women we call sisters to turn to in a time of need. Ladies from the times we couldn't stop laughing, to the tequila shots, to the secrets forever locked way, to the more simple things like, a shoulder to cry on, a smiling face on a bad day, and the words of confidence we all need at some point, thank you so much for being the girls I turn to and I know Daniel feels the same way. Thank you everyone for making us feel so loved we can not wait to see what our life together has in store for us. We can't wait to see you at the wedding! |
