Our Story

Josh and I met at Spring Creek High School in Chemistry class our Junior year. We didn't start dating until April of our Senior year. We moved in together that Christmas because my room at my parents house flooded. Now we've had an apartment together in Elko since April 2009. Josh started the Electrical Program at Great Basin College August 2009 and graduated May 2010. We were lucky when he got hired with I&E Industrial that June!
I left on a trip to North Carolina to visit my sister Larissa while she was pregnant in August for 10 days and when I got back Josh couldn't wait to propose! As we were getting ready to sleep he asked me to marry him and pulled out a ring from his side of the bed! I was so shocked I forgot to say "YES!" I just kept repeating "Oh my gosh, We're ENGAGED!!!" He looked at me like he was confused and said.. "so thats a yes, right?" HAHA!
However what some people don't know is that the ring was slightly too small. And Josh knew this and told me... But if you know me, then you know I didn't stop to let a small factor like the size get in the way of trying on my ENGAGEMENT RING!!!
The rest of the night we spent at my parents trying to get it off... Soap, Oil, Butter, String, Ice, and a VERY swollen finger later... :)
The next morning we wen't to the jewler and got it cut off... My finger survived although it suffered some blisters and scabs. And the ring was fixed looking as good as new!
So now we are engaged and saving up for our wedding. I'm working at Elko Dental Care as a Dental assitant and going to school for my Dental Hygiene Degree, Josh is still working at I&E and we can't wait to see everyone at the Reception!!!

Our Wedding

Our wedding right now is planned to be in the Ruby Mountains in Lamoille, NV. We are doing a closed ceremony to keep things simple and intimate.
Our Date is 9/10/11 and we are sooo excited!

Groomsmen: Jake Sell, Trinity Perkins, David Stewart, Kyle Preece.

Our Reception

Our reception is going to be at the Elko Basque Center in Elko, Nv.
7 o'clock in the evening.
We will have some appetizers and drinks.

Travel Arrangements

For everyone traveling the closest airports are Elko, NV (EKO), Salt Lake City, UT (SLC), or Twin Falls, ID. I'm not sure what that airport code is. But there are tons of hotels to stay at here in Elko. If you need help booking, phone numbers ect. let me know! I can find them out and post them up!
Also our wedding is the weekend after Labor Day, which is Fair Weekend in Elko. So if you can afford taking a weeks vacation to visit, there will be TONS of activities to do! But small towns with big events mean hotels will book up fast!

A Special Message From Us

Anything helps. Our dream has always been to go on a honeymoon. One we will remember for the rest of our lives! We already have an apartment together with everything we need/ or can fit in it. So a honeymoon registry was a great idea so you know all gifts will be used and VERY greatly appreciated! Thank you so much everyone!
