In 2010, Professor David Anderson admitted Sam and Christopher into Chamber Choir at Seattle Pacific University, and over time they developed a friendship based on the strong foundation of a shared love for old books and pictures, and an overly romancticized view of the early twentieth century. As any two people with such sympathies ought to do, they found their way to being in Paris simultaneously, and a shared love of old books and pictures developed into life-long romance. Christopher asked Sam in halting words to marry him in December, 2013, and she graciously accepted him in front of the Heceta Head lighthouse, on the Oregon Coast.

Sam and Christopher are to be married in St. Mark's Cathedral, in Seattle Washington, on July 14th, 2014. There will be a reception following at the Lake Union Cafe, a recommissioned jazz club just down the road. After this night of revelry, the couple will away to Paris and Nice, France, for their honeymoon. After that, they're heading to upstate New York, where they plan to watch the famed New England autumn with great pleasure.

Unless you are a truly adventurous explorer of the internet, you are here because you have been invited to our wedding, and if you have, we owe you thanks. We invited you to celebrate with us because you have inspired one or both of us at some point with your strength of character, compassion, and indomitable spirits. We have always been surrounded by a truly memorable cast of characters. You are all remarkable and we thank you.

Also, thank you very much for visiting our website and registry. If you've a bit more time before your next lion hunt or garden party, feel free to inspect our registry at macys.com. But most importantly, thank you for being a part of our lives and celebrating with us.

If you find your spare time hanging heavily about you during your stay, here are some suggestions on what you can do to stay amused:

Pike Place Market, Downtown Seattle - Overlooking Elliot Bay, Pike Place Market is the longest continually run farmer's market in the country and provides a wonderful array of produce, flowers, and local crafts. You can watch the fishmongers toss their fish to the delight of lookers on, take a picture and unload your spare change with Rachel the bronze piggy bank, an unofficial mascot of Seattle, or otherwise while away your time in a cornucopia of flavor, color, and music. Within walking distance of the Olympic Sculpture park, the piers on the waterfront, the Seattle Art Museum and the Downtown Retail Core.

The Space Needle and Seattle Center - A dizzying battery of activities and attractions await the intrepid at the Seattle Center. The Pacific Science Center boasts a variety of interactive and educational exhibits to tantalize the senses and enliven the mind including, but not limited to, a butterfly room, an interactive animatronic dinosaur extravaganza and an IMAX theatre. The Center also features the Science Fiction museum, the Experience Music Project, McCaw Hall, the Vera Project, Intiman Playhouse, Seattle Repertory Theatre, and of course, the Space Needle, the iconic landmark that was build for the 1962 World's Fair, and offers a panoramic view of the city, Sound, and distant mountain ranges.

The SAM - The Seattle Art Museum, as well as sharing the given name of the bride, always provides a fascinating sliver of the world's art, from every era. They have an extensive and thoughtfully assembled permanent collection as well as regularly rotating traveling exhibits.
