The day I met Michael is one I will never forget. I was interviewing to work at Hensel Phelps and he was sitting in on my interview. I was already intrigued, having spoken to him the day before to set up my interview. Meeting him in person only added to that. I had arrived completely decked out in Longhorn gear (not my typical interview attire) just to spite him, b/c he had told me over the phone that you did NOT have to be a Longhorn fan to work there, of which he definitely was not. One month later, to the day, we went on our first date. It was AMAZING. We became inseparable. I clearly remember the moment I knew I had fallen in love with him, too. The one and only time that we went dancing (with my Maid of Honor, Lulu!), he busted a move on the dance floor and I was instantly hooked. It was a whole other side to him I had not yet seen and I loved it.
Michael is without a doubt my very best friend. We compliment each other so well, and we are a team in everything that we do. We share similar tastes in movies, music, and MOST shows (I say most b/c I don't prefer the History channel, but I'm typically outnumbered between Michael and my son, Jason). He is my soulmate in every way and I cannot wait to grow old with him, but as he constantly reminds me when I say that, we don't want to grow old too quickly! So perhaps I should say, I simply cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with this handsome man! |
