Matthew proposed to Angie on Christmas night 2010. He had earlier in the day descretly pulled Angie's father Tony asside to ask for his permission in her hand in marraige and showed her Mother Judy and Grandparents the ring with nervous excitement. and could not eat Christmas dinner because of the butterflies in his stomach.

They left Gramma's house alone and headed home for a quiet evening together.  After walking in the door Angie was looking up a gift on the interenet to show Matt that was put on back order (a goofy pair of Quicksilver indoor/outdoor slippers). Matt kept saying put it away I don't need to see it.  Finally after she noticed his irratic behaiver she finally said "What is wrong with you?" he pulled the laptop out of her hands, closed the lid and slid it across the couch.  She started to say something when he dropped to his knee on the floor in front of her pulled a small black box from his poket and said "You know how much I love you and how much I love those boys, I cant imagine life with out you in it and you guys are everything to me, Will you marry me?"

Angie fell back on the couch laughing and crying at the same time, he pulled her back up and she said "of course I will, I love you".

The snow began to fall with in minutes and they spent the evening out back at the fire pit in each others arms until the early morning not able to contain the excitment of what just happened.
