It was the beginning of August 2005. I was shopping for birthday gifts and cards. I know way too many Virgos so I was at the mall for awhile. I was on my way to the Hallmark Store when I saw him, just as he entered. He was smiling but I made no assumptions. I entered the store and began searching for the perfect cards for my friends and family. I noticed he was looking at me. I thought I was being too loud laughing at some of the cards. There was this misbehaving little boy with him who was determined to destroy Hallmark. He continued to sneak a peek and share a smile with me. The Hallmark worker had to ask him to control his child. I laughed and could not agree more. I wondered if he would ever speak. Finally, he walked to my side of the card case and I asked him a question. He laughed, we talked and then exchanged numbers. We went or separate ways. Later, that night, I made up my mind and called him. I did not want to miss out on the possibility of knowing this friendly, handsome, and seemingly all around beautiful person. It was the start of our lives coming together.

Coming soon to an alter near you, six years in the making, Mr. and Mrs. Codie Van Martin Jr. We plan to share our wedding ceremony in a small family and close friend setting. Set to take place in early September, under a beautiful gazebo with a golf course backdrop. The rose petals will be dropped, the bride will walk, rings will be exchanged, and the flower girl will sing. A simple yet memorable celebration of love and a family coming together before God.

After the serious business of the day has taken place let the fun come on in. The reception will be indoors. Delicious food will be eaten, toasts will be made, the music will play, and the bride and groom will dance with you until night becomes what is left of that day.

We are so happy and excited to be making our family as whole as one could. Our little Lilly is very happy her parents are getting married and making our love official. We are quite sure Van Andrew feels the same. We are glad to be sharing a day so important to us with you.

For a young couple, which has been together as long as we have, one may think we have had trips together. Yet truth be told we have only gone on one trip together. It was a family trip over 4 years ago. Codie and I would like to have a honeymoon to create memories that are dear to only he and I. Something different from the zoos, theme parks, double bed rooms, and tantrums of our trip past. We would like a chance to have time together as any couple young or older would. We believe this trip would be a great start to a marriage destined to grow old. We appreciate your gift and support.
