Welcome

Ashley and I met about 2 years ago while rock climbing with mutual friends in Cheyenne Canyon.  We became fast friends and went on many climbing trips together with our close friends.  Unbeknownst to me, she was trying to get my attention for awhile.  Being the typical me, I was kind've oblivious.  When we did start dating the chemistry between us was undeniable.  We both realized that the love we shared was going to change the course of both of our lives.  I knew that I wasn't going to let her go, so I planned a proposal that was both exciting and unforgettable.  Last November I took her on a multi-pitch climb up Crack Parallel, and once we got to the top...... she immediately sat down and started taking off her shoes!  This wasn't how I planned it at all!  I had to find a way to get her to stand up, so I walked over to the edge of the climb we had just finished and looking down said, "can you believe we just climbed that?"  Of course that got her to stand up, and when she looked over the side, I got down on one knee and asked if she would do me the honor of being my wife.

We are getting married in the Gateway Presbyterian Church.  This is a small, quaint church, with an unbelievably warm and welcoming congregation, and an even nicer pastor.  We hope you all can make it and enjoy this special day with us.  Neither of us EVER thought we'd be getting married (some of our friends would agree).  We are so happy to have found each other and to start our future together.

Come celebrate with us after the wedding in the Grand Ballroom of the Mining Exchange, a Wyndham Grand Hotel located in downtown Colorado Springs.  Their will be great food and dancing.  Did I say great?  I meant amazing!  Believe me when I say it's a tough choice between the chicken marsala OR the parmesan crusted mahi mahi.  Then when we've had our fill, dance the night away with us.  And who doesn't like cake?  We hope you can join in this festive occasion.

For those of you traveling from out of town, we've blocked some rooms at the The Mining Exchange Wyndham Grand Hotel where the reception is being held.  The location is 8 S Nevada Ave., CO Springs, CO 80903. Telephone: 1-719-323-2000.  Make sure to mention the Hendricks/ Schneider wedding.

Here are two more suggestions:

Quality Inn & Suites (5 miles from reception), 555 W. Garden of Gods Rd., CO Springs, CO 80907, Telephone: 1-855-239-9223

Holiday Inn Colorado Springs (8 miles from reception near airport), 1855 Aeroplaza Dr., CO Springs, CO 80916, Telephone: 1-855-239-9227

Life is about the choices you make, the people who touch your life, and those whose life you touch.  Neither of us would be here if not for our supporting families and wonderful friends.  Was it fate?  Destiny?  Fairytale romance?  A butterflies wing stirring up a breeze a thousand miles away?  Who knows?  I will say that it was a series of coincidences, built one on top of the next, until one day we turned around the corner and met each other.  Now some people do consider that fate... and we won't argue with them.  All we know is that we are truly blessed to have found each other, and are grateful to all of you for making that possible.
