 | The proposal took months to plan. Haley and I had talked about getting married from quite some time before I asked. She gave me very little to go off of other than five rules... It must be a surprise, you have to ask permission, her nails have to be done, someone needs to get it on camera and you have to use my full name when you ask. Let the planning begin.... Making it a surprise was the most difficult part given that we live 500 miles apart. Her family/friends began laying the ground work on this elaborate plan to get Haley to Murrells Inlet where I would be waiting on her (all without her knowing). We finally devised a wonderful plan. She and Taylor were going to Murrells inlet to "celebrate" her new job with Taylors parents. All the while Haley’s family and I would be waiting for her at the end of the board walk. The next step was to get Haley’s nails done.... For all of you know Haley’s nails haven't been painted since the fifth grade. A couple of days before the big day I sent Taylor money for those two to go get manicures but Haley refused to go. I called her and blessed her up and down because her best friend was trying to "treat" her to a manicure. Reluctantly she finally caved. Saturday August 6th, was finally here. I sent her a snap chat from my house that morning so she didn’t think anything was going on. I drove all the way to Florence to meet her family and get the final detail figured out. I then drove to Murrells inlet and waited for my soon to be fiancé to walk down that boardwalk towards me. It felt like a lifetime for her to finally get down there. We got word that she was on the board walk so i laid out the white sheet just incase i dropped the ring. Taylor convinced her to go to the end even though " someone was having a picnic." She was almost to me and I appeared and she just stood there in shock. All she could say is " What are you doing here?" I then was given the opportunity to ask the love of my life to be my wife. SHE SAID YES!!! Everyone on the boardwalk cheered and clapped it was truly the happiest moment of my life. |
