Dan and Ashley met while they were in grade school at St. John's School in Girard, PA. At first they were just friends on the soccer field, but soon their relationship blossomed into young love. They went steady for two weeks until Dan broke Ashley's heart when he dumped her over the phone one night. They kept in touch occasionally throughout high school and college, but it wasn't until 2010 when they reconnected. Dan's charm won Ashley over while they were hanging out after a Lady Gaga concert and she gave him another chance at their relationship. They started a long distance relationship while Dan was in Cleveland and Ashley in Erie.
