While Jill handles the planning, Dave keeps everyone fed and happy, whether it’s slow-smoked ribs or fresh lobster straight from the coast. A proud member of the Thompson golfing crew, Dave also thrives in the great outdoors — hunting, fishing, or just swapping stories over a glass of good whiskey. With his old-soul charm and easygoing spirit, Dave is the guy you want at your table, on your team, and most definitely near the bar.

Jill isn’t just Kyle’s sister-in-law; she’s so much more! As mom to the adorable William (our ring bearer) and Clara (our flower girl), Jill keeps the family running smoothly while also being the ultimate fun-maker. Known for her incredible gift-giving skills and her unmatched love for all things Disney, Jill can plan the perfect trip, craft an itinerary like a pro, and still find time to whip up a mean cocktail. If you’re looking for someone to share a toast (or a laugh) with, look no further—Jill is your girl! We’re pretty sure the dance floor will have her name on it by the end of the night!

Mike Thompson

Mike Thompson is Kyle’s younger brother and lifelong sparring partner (from childhood wrestling matches to inside jokes only brothers could survive). Now the only unmarried Thompson — ladies, take note — Mike is a proud dog dad to the lovely Maya and a certified master of sarcasm. If there’s a sharp one-liner flying through the air, chances are it came from Mike. A true “lose a friend but never lose the joke” kind of guy, he keeps spirits high and laughter rolling. Like any good Thompson, he’s got a swing for golf, a love for cold beer, and an appreciation for a sun-soaked beach day. Expect charm, mischief, and probably the best jokes of the night.

Gabriela Raposo

After meeting in college and bonding over Spanish class (a mutual “easy A” elective), we quickly became friends. Neither of us is great at keeping in touch, and dancing isn’t exactly our strong suit, but we’ve always managed to have a blast at parties—especially when Luiza could convince Gabe to join in. Gabi may be younger, but her old soul has kept her closer to cozy meals and beach days than wild nights out since college. At the wedding, though, you can count on Gabi to be everywhere—tearing up the dance floor, enjoying the food, or snapping photos for anyone who asks (and trust us, she’s got an eye for your best angles). She’s just that friendly!

Lucas Rey

Lucas is Luiza's middle brother and one of the people she loves most in this world. He’s the guy you’ll see in most of her travel albums on Facebook, from boat trips to road trips and even wakeboarding (his specialty). Their bond is full of unforgettable adventures, and Lucas’s loyalty and kindness make him one of the most incredible people to have in your life. Kyle also loves spending time with Lucas—whether it’s sharing laughs, stories, or just hanging out, it’s always a great time. I couldn’t be happier to have Lucas standing by my side on this special day!

Margarida Luis

Margarida isn’t just my (hopefully) future sister-in-law—she’s also one of my closest friends. From the moment we met, my mom was convinced she’d end up dating one of my brothers, and well, she made sure that prediction came true! Since then, we’ve shared countless early morning car karaoke sessions, lunches, and game nights (with plenty more ahead). Her infectious laugh and goofy jokes never fail to have us all in stitches. Despite the age gap, we’ve built an incredible bond that only keeps growing.

Bruno Rey

Bruno might know exactly how to push Luiza’s buttons (like that time he pretended she hit him—when it was actually Mom just touching his shoulder—just to get her in trouble), but he’s also one of the people she loves the most in the world. He’s her little brother, her friend, and always the first to join us for bowling, board games, or Nintendo nights—he’s always down for some fun. Kyle loves spending time with Bruno too; his energy and humor make every moment better. He’s also the one most likely to eat the most at the wedding, so let’s hope there’s enough food for everyone else!

Not everyone knows this, but back in my competitive water polo days, I was the strongest player—just not the best swimmer. Julia played for the opposing team, and our coaches made it our mission to stop each other. What followed was an epic clash: punches thrown, bathing suits ripped, and both of us expelled from the game. We kept arguing on the benches until we got kicked out of the pool area entirely. With some time to cool off and actually talk, we went from rivals to close friends. Our parents even joked that we were long-lost sisters. Julia has been part of so many of my best memories, so it’s only fitting she stands by my side as a bridesmaid for one of my greatest adventures yet.

Now a proud dad to the adorable Rui, Scott traded the buzz of Chicago for the calm of Colorado’s wide-open spaces. He’s all about that mountain life: hiking boots over dress shoes, pets in abundance, and a house that’s equal parts baby giggles and tail wags. Scott brings the ultimate chill energy to the wedding crew — the kind that pairs well with a campfire, a hammock, and a four-finger glass of whiskey. Laid-back, loyal, and lowkey hilarious, Scott is proof that calm is a superpower... just don't let him get your IP address.

Dimitri is one of Kyle’s OG childhood friends and the undisputed party starter of the crew. After ditching the 9-to-5 life to chase beats and bass drops, he’s now living his dream in the music industry (LA) — and yes, the vibe follows him everywhere. Dimitri brings rhythm, style, and at least one mirror selfie to every occasion. He loves a good drink, a better dance floor, and is always down to turn the energy up a notch. He’ll be meeting the bride for the first time at the wedding… so here’s to hoping she doesn’t scare him off (but no promises). One thing’s for sure — if there’s music, Dimitri’s already there.

Lidiane and Luiza first crossed paths in Lisbon at a less-than-ideal workplace, but it didn’t take long for them to connect over the quirkiest things and a shared, wonderfully odd sense of humor. What started as a friendship quickly grew into a business partnership, proving that opposites really do attract—they’re different in so many ways, yet perfectly complement each other. From late-night wine sessions on Fridays to daily bits of advice and support, they’ve built a bond where they’re constantly learning from one another. Fun fact: Lidiane used to be a professional dancer, so with her killer moves, there’s no doubt she’ll be the first to hit the dance floor at the wedding!

Connor rounds out the trio of Kyle’s childhood friends and is his go-to partner in all things investment-talk and spreadsheet banter. Don’t let the polished pose fool you — behind that serious work face is a big kid with a silly sense of humor. Whether he’s cracking heinous jokes or casually dropping finance puns at the bar, Connor’s charm is undeniable. He works hard, plays harder, and never says no to a good party — especially one where a dance floor and a slightly embarrassing group photo are involved.

Duda was the very first person Luiza met during her master's program. When the first class got canceled, Duda was the one who sparked the idea: “Who wants to grab a beer?”—and the rest is history. From that moment on, they’ve shared every phase of life in Portugal together, all the way to both of their weddings. Duda is the epitome of a classic extroverted introvert. One moment, she’s like a Disney cast member, lighting up the room with her friendliness and charm. The next, she’s out of social battery and might just quietly fade into the background. At the wedding, be sure to catch her during her “social phase”—it’s legendary! She can strike up a conversation with anyone, create jokes on the fly, and keep the energy alive. But beware, just like Cinderella, when the clock strikes midnight, she might just turn into a pumpkin! 🎃

Lulu was one of the very first friends Luiza made in Lisbon, and their bond quickly became inseparable. During those early years, they spent nearly every week and weekend together, forming memories that would last a lifetime. In fact, Luiza met Lulu and her now-husband back when they were "just friends." Funny story: Luiza almost skipped her first date with Kyle because she was feeling lazy and had a college test the next day. It was Lulu who convinced her to go, and the rest, as they say, is history! Lulu has been there for countless special moments of the couple's journey and remains one of Luiza's dearest friends—a true shoulder to lean on in every situation. On the wedding day, you’ll find Lulu lighting up the dance floor with her random choreographies or spreading contagious laughter. Her charm, straight from Minas, is utterly irresistible. Just one word of caution: if you’re being too friendly with her, keep an eye out for her husband—he’ll be the biggest guy at the wedding! 😄
